Many analysts and former athletes have voiced their opinions on former NFL star Jason Kelce’s viral phone-smashing incident. The 37-year-old received both criticism and support for his latest outburst. Recently, former Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Rashad McCants has come forward to back the Philadelphia Eagles legend.

Kelce, who was attending the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes game, encountered a heckler. The Penn State fan used a homophobic slur against Jason’s brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The big brother snatched the fan’s phone and smashed it before a heated exchange.

Among his supporters, McCants recently backed Kelce and claimed the heckler was lucky to only get his phone smashed. “He’s lucky [Kelce] didn’t punch him,” McCants said. “I think Jason is a standup guy. He did what he felt was the right thing at the moment, and that was to not harm the person and to harm what they loved most, and that is that damn phone.”

The former NBA guard continued his rant against the heckler. “Someone is saying an F-slur to him about his brother. You don’t get to pick and choose to be the victim,” he said.

Penn State Police Investigate Jason Kelce’s Fan Altercation Incident

On ‘Monday Night Countdown’ this week, the former Eagles star expressed regret over the incident and issued an apology. Jason claimed he was not proud and would do better moving forward.

“I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it. And in a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing,” he said.

While ESPN has opted not to penalize Jason Kelce over the incident, the fan pursued legal action for his damaged phone. The University Police and Public Safety (UPPS) is investigating the incident.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are the most couples in the world. Swift being a mega-famous pop star and Kelce being one of the best tight ends in the NFL while playing for the best team in the league is a recipe for success.

Kelce and Swift get a lot of attention. Some of the attention they can appreciate while others may not be so much. One of the occasions where the couple could have gone without the attention was during the recent Penn State situation involving Travis’ brother Jason.

Jason was just trying to be one of the guys while attending the game between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes. A fan heckled him, calling his brother a slur while mentioning Swift.

Kelce turned around, took the young fan’s phone, and smashed it before standing face-to-face with the fan. He began asking an offensive question back, leading him to issue an apology recently. However, Taylor Swift found solace in the reaction, as evidenced by her actions at the Chiefs game.

Taylor Swift Hugs Jason Kelce After Penn State Heckler Incident

Swift attended ‘Monday Night Football’ yesterday as the Chiefs took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ending in a thrilling Chiefs overtime victory. During the game, one fan got out their phone and caught a touching moment between Taylor Swift and Jason Kelce.

In the video, Swift and the elder Kelce brother can be seen embracing in a touching moment that fans seem to think was due to Kelce’s reaction to the fan who called out his brother at the Penn State game.

While Jason Kelce may have been trying to be one of the guys at that moment, it doesn’t seem like he will do that again soon. This should be a message for all fans to take in, and one bad apple could ruin it for all of us.
