Adam Schefter and Doug Gottlieb did some beefing online this week, and the latter exited worse for wear.
The short back-and-forth started after Schefter was called out for his report on Mike Vick’s talks over the Sacramento State job, with Gottlieb suggesting the ESPN insider was simply repeating what he was told by Vick’s agent without fact-checking first.
Schefter backed his report up with some numbers before going in on the Green Bay head coach’s dismal record in his first season.
“And Jeezus, Doug. A seven-game losing steak [sic] and last place in the Horizon League? Less time on social media and more time in the gym,” he wrote.
It’s fair to say that Doug isn’t the most-liked man around, and fans quite enjoyed Schefter’s clapback.
“Adam Schefter KO’ing Doug Gottlieb in Round 1 was the Christmas gift I didn’t know I needed,” Rivals.com’s Adam Gorney wrote.
“Damn, I’ve never seen Schefter reply to anyone on here. He must really hate Doug. Understandable,” another user added.
“BREAKING: Sources say Adam Schefter just put Gottlieb in a locker,” joked a third.

Doug Gottlieb Didn’t Back Down From Adam Schefter, But It Was Already Too Late
Gottlieb fired back at Schefter, vowing to turn the program around while advising the reporter to edit his sources.
The above didn’t win him much ground, however.

Taylor Rooks has been named the lead host of the NBA pregame show. According to recent reports from Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, the 32-year-old sports broadcaster will be in charge of the pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows. However, this is no surprise, as Rooks is already heavily involved with the NBA and Amazon. Currently, she is working on the sidelines as a reporter for the NBA on TNT.
Apart from that, Rooks is also part of Prime’s coverage of Thursday Night Football. Additionally, Amazon is looking to have strengthened its squad reasonably well. They have also announced the familiar voice of the Brooklyn Nets’ Ian Eagle as the lead play-by-play announcer for the next season. And that is not all.
In what was a pleasant surprise for the fans, rumor has it that Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki might join the team as an analyst. Thus, the Amazon lineup for the next season looks quite packed. Meanwhile, the fans cannot help but recall some of the NBA stars’ hilarious quotes in front of Taylor Rooks
