Andy Reid sends clear message to Travis Kelce over risky play following Kansas City Chiefs win over Las Vegas Raiders
Kelce attempted the same play earlier this season
ANDY Reid let the world know what he thinks about Travis Kelce and the risks he takes on the field.
The risks from the 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star tight end mainly come from a specific play he once again attempted during the team’s 19-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13.

Kelce showcased another highlight-reel play during the Black Friday game.
The nine-time Pro Bowler threw a lateral pass for the second time in the 2024 NFL campaign.
Reid was asked about the play and revealed that he was okay with it but only if the pass ends in a completion.
However, the three-time Super Bowl champion head coach would’ve been disappointed if the play didn’t work.
“He’s [Travis Kelce] been doing it for a few years,” Reid said to reporters on a Zoom call on Monday, per Chiefs Wire.
“We do it in practice every day – you guys see that, so you know this isn’t just something that we throw out there on game day.
“It’s something we do, so everything is okay with that just as long as you complete them.”
Kelce threw a pitch to his teammate Samaje Perine after catching a five-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes during a 3rd-and-10 play with a little over four minutes left during the second quarter.
Perine got the first down and the Chiefs scored a touchdown four plays later.
The 29-year-old running back opened up on the play after the contest.
“It was not scripted, I can tell you that much,” Perine shared with reporters.
“I saw him do it a couple of times, he does it in practice, so I was like, ‘Let me stay in phase, just in case.’
“And, sure enough, I saw him switch the ball and win his arm back and I was just ready for it.”
Kelce first displayed the move during Kansas City’s Week 5 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

And he achieved the play with Perine.
Facing a 3rd-and-22 play, Kelce caught a short pass from Mahomes just beyond the line of a scrimmage.
Instead of being tackled, Kelce lateraled the ball to Perine, who was tackled just one yard short of the first down.
The Chiefs have an 11-1 record and clinched a playoff berth with their win last week.
They have made the postseason for the 10th consecutive season.
Kansas City will take on the road team Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football in Week 14.
