New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not going to let people slander his name after Robert Saleh was fired.
On Wednesday’s episode of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported Rodgers knew Jets owner Woody Johnson was “contemplating” moving on from Saleh.
On Wednesday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers made it clear that he loved Robert Saleh and that they have a good relationship.
“I love Coach Saleh. We have a solid relationship. He was a big reason why I came to the Jets. I really like Coach Saleh.”
Aaron Rodgers also stated that he was not the reason Robert Saleh was fired:

“I resent any of those accusations because they’re patently false.”
“As far as any of the ridiculous allegations out there, I’m not going to spend more than one sentence in response to it, and that is I resent any of those accusations because they’re patently false,” Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show. “It’s interesting the amount of power people think I have, which I don’t. But I love Robert.”
Aaron Rodgers Speaks On Conversation He Had With Jets Owner Woody Johnson
The New York Jets’ firing of head coach Robert Saleh came just one day after a meeting between owner Woody Johnson and quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the owner said on Tuesday.
Johnson said he met with Rodgers on Monday night.
On Wednesday afternoon, Aaron Rodgers spoke with Pat McAfee on his show.
Rodgers spoke about his conversation with Jets owner Woody Johnson the night before firing Saleh, but he stated it had more to do with checking on him after he sprained his ankle in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.
He made it clear that Johnson didn’t say anything about firing Saleh.
“I did talk to Woody. He called me on Monday night. We had a short conversation. He just asked me how I was doing … we talked about the game, how disappointed I was in my performance and how we’re gonna get this thing turned around and we hung up. Woody has no obligation to let me know what his plans are.”
“I just appreciate the call that he was checking on me. It was like a friend call.”
In the end, Aaron Rodgers said he’ll be thinking of Saleh and his family.
“He’s got seven kids, he’s got an incredible wife, and the business of football can be hard,” Rodgers said. “It’s tough on the families, and I’ve gotten to know Robert’s family.”
Aaron Rodgers Reportedly Dating NBA Owner’s Daughter Who Already Boasts Some Of The Raciest Photos Online (PICS)
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is rumored to be back in the game in the wake of his split from Blu of Earth.
Rodgers is said to now be dating Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens. The two had been friends for a while and have attended several Bucks games together.
While they have been close for years, it’s misunderstood that Rodgers wasn’t interested in pursuing a romantic endeavor as he felt Mallory was too young. However, he is believed to have developed feelings for her after breaking up with Blu.
“Well it has finally happened. Mallory Edens has had her eye on Aaron Rodgers for a very long time,” a Sportsgossip.com source was quoted as saying. “Mallory has always wanted to be in the public eye. It looks like she might’ve found her ticket. Mallory was at the Packers last game, and she was supporting her new boyfriend and favorite team by wearing their gear. Nothing says I’m all in like throwing on your boyfriend’s teams’ gear.”
Mallory, 26, has a very decent following on Instagram (213K), but we imagine that number will balloon given her association with the QB. A quick look at her page will reveal multiple racy photos too.

Mallory graduated from Princeton in 2018. It appears she’s headed to the big leagues now.
