Nearly a week has passed since Tyreek Hill was arrested while driving to Hardrock Stadium for the Dolphins’ Week 1 game. Cam Newton is just the latest big-name media personality to come out and share his opinions on the situation.

However, many people are surprised by what Newton had to say about the situation.

When you roll the window down and roll the window back up, bro you can’t do that! Don’t do that! It puts you in danger,” Newton said.

“This could’ve been avoided… The reason why the officers are frustrated is because you rolled your window up. He (the officer) was excessive. I’m not taking the officer’s side. I’m just saying how this situation could have played out different. There’s accountability on both sides,” he continued.

Of course, it’s surprising that Newton actually called Hill out for some of his actions during the traffic stop, and many online have praised him.

“Cam Newton, the actual voice of reason,” one comment said.

100% agree. Tyreek shoulda just gave his liscsense and went about his way. You’re never gonna win by talking shit to this kkkowardz,” another commented.

“My thoughts exactly. @CameronNewton you nailed this. As a black man if he wasn’t Tyreek and a star player this woulda went way different. I hope young black boys don’t see this and think it’s cool cause these dirty racist ass police will kill for nothing,” added a third.

Of course, there really is no right or wrong opinion concerning what happened.
