The Indiana Fever won’t let anyone forget Caitlin Clark’s rookie campaign anytime soon. In a recent post to celebrate WNBA Rookie Week, the team paid tribute to its star, listing every record and accomplishment she achieved in her first year as a professional.

Clark came to the WNBA as the first pick in the 2024 Draft. Coming from the University of Iowa, the rookie had an almost immediate impact on the team, raising its record from 13-27 in 2023 to 20-20, leading to its first postseason appearance in seven years.

Caitlin Clark’s nasty crossovers and superb shooting are some of the reasons why she was named TIME’s Athlete of the Year

As expected, the Fever did not want to miss the opportunity to pay a well-deserved tribute to its star, in a post that began by saying: “Tipping off #WNBARookieWeek celebration with our Rookie of the Year, @caitlinclark22.”

The reason why Clark is a star

In the extensive post, Indiana detailed each of Clark’s achievements, starting with her being named to the All-WNBA First Team. It recalled that she was the league’s overall leader in Assists Per Game, with 8.4, and in three-pointers scored (122).

Clark was also the first rookie in WNBA history to achieve a triple-double, a feat she accomplished twice. The first was in July against the New York Liberty with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists. The second was in September against the Los Angeles Sparks with 24-10-10.

She also led all rookies in points per game (19.2), steals per game (1.3), field goals made average (6.1), and three-pointers made (3.1). Clark also broke the rookie records for points, assists, and three-pointers with 769, 337, and 122, respectively.

Indiana Fever’sCaitlin Clark wants to take her team to new heights for the 2025 season after a very impressive 2024, when the Fever returned to the playoffs (they lost to the Connecticut Sun in the first round).

The Fever caused sensation last season with their play on the court, with Clark setting numerous records on her way to winning Rookie of the Year honors and joining teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell as All-Stars.

With Indiana basketball legend Stephanie White returning home to take over the reins as Fever head coach this season, the team have aspirations of hanging more banners in Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Meanwhile, the future looks bright and we got a little piece of what’s gonna look like with the Fever’s first workout with White as their leader. The trainning session was intense and Clark shone with her massive talent, her insane dribbling skills and her superb shooting.

Indiana is gonna need all of that and more for her season opener when they host the Chicago Sky on Saturday, May 17. The Fever and Sky had the league’s two most compelling rookies last season in Clark and Chicago forward Angel Reese, both of whom had record-setting rookie seasons.

Clark set a WNBA record for assists in a single season and also led the league in 3-pointers made. Reese, meanwhile, broke the league’s rebounding record. Both were All-Stars and though Clark ultimately ran away with Rookie of the Year honors, Reese finished second in the voting.
