Travis Kelce has certainly had a much slower start to the NFL season than in years past, and this is against what most people thought he would be doing. This has caused many people to bash him, and his mother, Donna Kelce, has had enough.

“It’s tough, it really is,” Donna told People Magazine. “You know, I don’t think they realize the pressure that people are under, whether they’re athletes or professionals that are in front of the camera. And it’s just very difficult, there’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes,”

“You don’t realize how many times people are trying to keep you from catching the ball, or trying to trip you up or hit you… so it’s kinda hard when you’ve got people that are in your face 24/7,” she continued.

Of course, though, it’s not as if the people saying that Travis has fallen a bit off this year are completely wrong.

He’s had one of the worst starts to his career through three games, recording just eight receptions on 12 targets for 69 yards and zero touchdowns.

However, the Chiefs are now set to take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, and L.A. will be without star safety Derwin James, so there’s really an opportunity for Kelce to turn this around very quickly.

Travis Klece Likely Won’t Restart 1,000 Yard Streak.

From 2016 – 2022, Kelce put together one of the most impressive streaks in the NFL. He had seven straight seasons with 1,000 receiving yards.

That’s the most by a tight end in NFL history and was only stopped after he came up 16 yards short in 2023 with 984.

However, based on the first few games of the season, he certainly isn’t on pace to restart that streak.

One of the officers involved in the detainment of Tyreek Hill was handed a stiff punishment on the same day the Miami Dolphins wide receiver was forced to the ground and placed in handcuffs in a shocking encounter with law enforcement.

According to department director Stephanie V. Daniels, the officer, who is attached to the Miami-Dade Police Department, has been placed on administrative leave.

“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter,” Daniels said in a statement, per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. “One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted.

“I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers.”

The wide receiver was the talk of the football world on Sunday morning after he was seen getting apprehended by several police officers just a block away from Hard Rock Stadium ahead of the Fins’ Week 1 opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
