New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers couldn’t help but take a shot at head coach Robert Saleh following the team’s sloppy 10-9 home loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.

The biggest upset of the day saw the Broncos escape MetLife Stadium with a one-point victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Jets (2-2). New York kicker Greg Zuerlein missed a potential game-winning 50-yard field goal in the rain, clinching the Jets’ first home loss in the young Rodgers era.

After the game, Jets head coach Robert Saleh expressed uncertainty about whether the Jets were “ready” for pre-snap cadences in Sunday’s loss, per SNY’s Connor Hughes. Let’s just say that Rodgers didn’t take that very well.

“That’s one way to do it,” Rodgers said. “The other way is hold them accountable. I mean, we haven’t had an issue, we’ve had one false start…I believe, until this.”

Rodgers and the Jets mustered just 248 yards of offense on 70 plays, relying on three field goals from Zuerlein to do all the scoring. The Jets committed a whopping 13 penalties for 90 yards.

Aaron Rodgers & Jets Still Looking For Answers On Offense

The Jets’ offense has left a lot to be desired over the first month of 2024, with the exception of last week’s blowout win over the New England Patriots.

New York’s rushing game has been surprisingly unproductive, and the rebuilt offensive line hasn’t been much better than last year’s wretched group. Clearly, the Jets have a lot to fix between now and next Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings in London.

On Sunday, the New York Jets will face the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium. One player looking for a big game is quarterback Aaron Rodgers, trying to earn his third win as the starter for New York.

Of course, if you know anything about Rodgers, you understand he doesn’t have the best image in the media. However, a recent clip of him before the game strives to change just that.

It shows Rodgers complimenting a pair of young Jets fans who are sorting some Jets gear. One had a throwback jersey with Rodger’s name on it.

The young children appear very excited to share a moment with someone they likely look up to.

On the field, Rodgers is usually viewed as a very fierce and intense competitor, so seeing this much softer side during pre-game is very refreshing for a lot of fans.

“How wholesome!” said one comment.

Good stuff @AaronRodgers12,” said another.

However, Netflix is set to release a documentary titled “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma,” which will certainly examine some of the aspects that make people think negatively of the four-time NFL MVP.

Aaron Rodgers Is Off To A Good Start In 2024

After being injured in Week 1 of 2023, Rodgers and many Jets fans have long awaited this season.

His start to 2024 has been as good as advertised when the team originally traded for him. As of now, he has completed 58 of 86 passes for 625 yards, five touchdowns, one interception, and a 103.1 passer rating.

Of course, at 41 years old, it’s unlikely he will return to his MVP form similar to 2021, but with such an amazing defense for the Jets, Rodgers just needs to be good enough not to hurt the team’s chances of the playoffs or even more.
