After just one season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Russell Westbrook made a move to the Denver Nuggets this offseason. Before his time with the Clippers, Westbrook spent two years with LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers. However, both of these short stints stirred concern among fans, who were left wondering what went wrong for the former MVP.

During a press conference, the 35-year-old reflected on his experiences with the Lakers and Clippers. He felt that both of his former teams failed to fully utilize his strengths.

To be honest, (my skill-set) was unique; they just didn’t put me in a position to be unique. I was in a position where I was playing, not my position,” Westbrook said.

Russell Westbrook is gearing up for a strong season with the Denver Nuggets, and his excitement for the upcoming year was clear during the team’s media day. Westbrook He made it clear that his focus is all about winning when he’s playing.

“I think people confuse intensity with competitiveness. When I compete, when I’m on the floor, I don’t want to be walking around shaking hands and kissing babies; I don’t really want to do that. I’m there to excuse my language, but kick some a-,” Westbrook said.

Westbrook’s determination will be tested early. The Nuggets will face the defending champions, the Boston Celtics, in the pre-season opener on October 4.

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.

He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.

“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.

“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
