A-lister’s daughter nearly became The Bachelorette and almost joined Kim Kardashian show before dad ‘put a stop’ to it

HENRY Winkler’s daughter Zoe nearly became The Bachelorette and was even close to joining a show alongside Kim Kardashian – until her dad “put a stop” to it.

Actor Henry, 79, revealed that he stepped in to prevent his eldest child, 44, from going down the reality route, saying it was all done out of a desire to protect her.

Speaking on her What in the Winkler?! podcast, Zoe recalled the time she was a contender for the hit ABC show, asking her father, “Do you remember when I was in the running to be ‘The Bachelorette?’”

Henry responded, “Oh, my goodness. And we put a stop to that… and only for your protection.”

He then asked his daughter for a “thank you” – which she gave, albeit half-heartedly.

Teacher Zoe also revealed that Henry had prevented her from appearing on another reality show.

She explained that she was approached to appear in a series called “Quarter Life Crisis” alongside Sarah Howard and Kim Kardashian, who she’s known ever since she was a child.

Zoe shared that VH1 executive producer Matt Hanna created a sizzle reel with the trio without Henry’s knowledge.

She said, “[Hanna] came to the house and you met him outside.”

Henry confirmed the story, saying, “I did. I said, ‘It is so lovely that you’re here, I can suggest some really good restaurants, [but] my daughter is not doing your show.’”

Zoe admitted that, although her reality TV aspirations were dashed by her father, it ultimately worked out for the best.

“I became a teacher, which was the best job and what I always truly wanted to do,” she said.

Henry sweetly added, “If I were a young parent, at the time that I saw the way you parent and the way you taught, I would have stolen your technique and used it as my go-to.”

Zoe married Robert Reinis in 2009, and together they have three children.

In 2018, Zoe founded the nonprofit organization, This is About Humanity.

Zoe also shared her deep passion for being a mother, saying she’s “obsessed” with her husband and is dedicated to her work with her nonprofit.

She founded the organization to raise awareness about families and children separated at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Henry – who also shares director Max, 41, with his wife Stacey Weitzman, 77 – is an actor, director, and producer, best known for his iconic role as Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzarelli on the 70s hit, Happy Days.
