These predictions are based on speculation and not confirmed by Eiichiro Oda but with how Egghead shook the One Piece world, it’s a likely theory.
The Egghead Arc of One Piece had so much going on in it that it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Straw Hats became an even bigger threat in the eyes of the World Government. This would imply higher bounties for all of them, with some of them valued at an enormous amount, particularly their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, and swordsman, Roronoa Zoro.
Luffy’s current known bounty is valued at 3,000,000,000 berries after his actions on Wano. If it increases further, his bounty would surpass Shanks’ 4,048,900,000 berries. How will his childhood hero and former mentor feel about this potential rivalry?

Shanks might be a mysterious figure but he has always expressed pride in Luffy’s actions, especially with his bounties. In fact, he might hear about the events of Egghead and somehow feel even more pride. We don’t know his true intentions with the young pirate just yet so it’s unpredictable. The Elbaph Arc has only just started so fans might hear about new bounties soon in One Piece.
Do the Straw Hat Pirates deserve higher bounties after Egghead?
In the eyes of the World Government, the Straw Hat Pirates definitely deserve higher bounties. They survived the deadliest Buster Call in One Piece history, defeated Kizaru, an Admiral of the Marines, and once again humiliated CP0. All of these events will earn them an increase in their bounty. Jaygarcia Saturn, one of the original Five Elders, also failed to keep the Straw Hats on Egghead.
Thanks to Big News Morgans, the events were also twisted in a way that doesn’t look good for any of them. The public now believes the Straw Hats were holding Dr Vegapunk hostage and the World Government was rescuing him when in reality, the forces of CP0, and Kizaru were all sent to assassinate him.
Moreover, the death of Dr Vegapunk, the greatest scientist in the One Piece universe, at the hands of Kizaru was publicly blamed on Luffy. Saturn was also killed for failing to eradicate the Straw Hats and Bartholomew Kuma. There’s no way they won’t put a higher target on their backs.

Luffy’s bounty already sits at one of the highest amounts in the One Piece universe but after Egghead, it might sit at 4,500,000,000, considering everything he’s being blamed for. Zoro’s is likely to double to 2,200,000,000. Sanji’s might increase to 2,000,000,000 with Jinbei right behind him. Robin might have one worthy of her status as a threat to the World Government with a target worth more than 1,000,000,000 finally.
The rest of the Straw Hats who weren’t exactly big players in Egghead but due to their association with Luffy might get a 200 million berry increase each. While Luffy might love his constant increase in bounty, Nami and Usopp will not and might actually suffer a heart attack this time. On the flip side, Chopper might finally be worth 5,000 berries. Overall, Luffy is likely to be the highest-value Emperor now, surpassing Shanks’ bounty.
