Rachael shared her tips on how to keep basil fresh and also cooked her special pesto pasta.
John also appeared on our screens while she was making the delicious dish.
Rachael told fans: “When you bring basil home from the store, never ever ever just throw it in the fridge.
“Basil hates icy cold.”
As she said this, John could be seen helping her prepare the food with a smile on his face.
“You will kill it, it will turn back,” she continued.
“And you’ll have a very short life for the basil.”
She then told her viewers to keep it under a bag and in fresh water and change it every couple of days.
It comes after Rachael confessed that they stay in ‘separate corners’ of their house.
The TV personality said on the I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead podcast: “I am wildly, wildly lucky that I have my husband.
But he understands I need my space. He needs his space.
“John and I largely stay in separate corners.”
She also made a cryptic comment about ‘sad things that happen to you’.
Rachael opened up about the Apple TV+ series Hello Tomorrow – which was canceled after one season.

“Not everything that feels bad is bad. Sometimes things that happen to you that from the outside look sad, they also help you propel forward and understand other people.”
Rachael and John tied the knot in 2005.
They met back in 2001 through mutual friends.
Earlier this month Rachael made a rare public appearance at a New York food festival this month after sparking health concerns and admitting to recent “bad falls.”
Rachael gleefully told the crowd, “All of these years and see every single chef that’s a former award winner here.
“These guys are seriously proud of their trophies and their belts, right?
“They take this seriously. I’m glad all of you are here, and I just want to say thank you to everyone here.
“They’ve become a family to me over all these years, decades now…
“I love being here, and it’s just wonderful to be with all of you and thank you for coming out for us, we appreciate you and your appetite.
“Have fun. Have a beer and a burger!”
Rachael dropped her first podcast and admitted to having some recent bad falls – after fans had expressed concerns about her appearance on social media in recent weeks.
