George Kittle and Claire give Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce the best advice for making their relationship work

George and Claire Kittle have valuable advice for fellow NFL couple Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to keep their relationship strong and healthy amidst the constant pressure of fan-interest and the media.

Speaking to PEOPLE before Netflix’s Receiver premiere, the San Francisco 49ers tight end and his wife emphasized that the key to a strong relationship, especially amid the fame and fast pace of the NFL, lies in two simple things.

“Talk as much as you possibly can. Communicate!” George declared.

Claire, his wife of five years, echoed this sentiment, agreeing that communication is crucial.

Do the Kittles have a routine they follow to achieve this?

The Kittles have a nightly practice they believe could benefit couples like Swift and Kelce.

“Something Claire thought was a great idea, which we’ve been doing for a long time, is every night before bed, make sure you tell each other ‘I love you.'” Kittle explained to PEOPLE magazine.

“No matter if you had an argument or are upset with each other, it’s a good way to end the day.”

Claire chipped in at this point with some rather humorous words.

“That is what I would say! Good job,” she joked.

Kelce and Swift have managed to navigate their busy, often conflicting schedules. Swift famously flew from her Eras shows in Tokyo to Las Vegas to support Kelce in Super Bowl LVIII in February, while Kelce has attended many of her concerts in return.

Claire acknowledged the increased attention that comes with being part of an NFL couple. Despite the “chaos of the world,” she noted that returning to a solid relationship makes all the difference.
