Carson Steele Skips Sister's Wedding for Chiefs Game | Us Weekly

During the Sunday Night Football broadcast, as the Chiefs were taking on the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, viewers saw a clip of Steele’s sister Kesslar’s wedding reception where guests watched the Chiefs vs. Atlanta Falcons game to cheer for the 21-year-old.

Carson Steele earned his first start after Isiah Pachecho got injured last week.

“Man, that’s just so cool,” Steele told The Kansas City Star after watching the viral clip of Kesslar’s wedding. “I was like, ‘If too many people are watching the game, go ahead and turn that TV off.’ But [Kesslar] just fell for it. She’s always there for me, too.”

Steele noted that he was asked to be a groomsman at his sister’s wedding, but he put his career first. He explained to his sister that she could not plan a wedding during the NFL season.

“I was like, ‘Hey, you can’t plan weddings in September when your brother plays in the NFL.’ But obviously, she didn’t listen to me too well,” Steele explained to the outlet, adding that Kesslar had her wedding planned for two years.

It did not take long for social media to track down Carson Steele’s sister, who decided to wait until a Sunday during the NFL season to have her wedding.

Kansas City signed Steele as an undrafted free agent.

He went viral during the game when he called out Ball State and UCLA during his intro. He ran for 3,294 yards and 26 touchdowns in 36 career games at both programs.

Chiefs’ Carson Steele Picks Playing in NFL ‘Every Day of the Week’

Kansas City Chiefs rookie running back Carson Steele has zero regrets about choosing football over his family.

Steele had a breakout performance on Sunday night. He racked up a career-high 72 rushing yards as he received a majority of the carries in the team’s 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The team gave him 17 rushing attempts and averaged 4.2 yards per carry.

During the game, the NBC broadcast noted that Carson Steele skipped his sister’s wedding to play the game in Atlanta.

Steele said after the game, there’s no place he’d rather be.

“Man, I hate to say it… I’d be here every day of the week,” Steele said with a smile. “Love you, Kessler, hope it went well. But I’m picking this every day of the week.”

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.

He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.

“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.

“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
