This led to fans doubting Luffy’s character until the spoilers of One Piece chapter 1134 hit the internet and cleared up a lot of things. The biggest revelation within this chapter was certainly the appearance of the second Shanks, who has removed all the allegations around the original Shanks’ character. However, that’s not all his appearance has cleared.
According to speculations from One Piece fans, this second character might be the one who killed King Harald for some unknown purpose and then later on, blamed it on Loki, making him the bad character. While these speculations may sound bizarre, there is enough evidence in the upcoming One Piece chapter to support all the claims.
Loki’s tag as the villain of Elbaph
When Loki’s name was first introduced during the Whole Cake Island arc, fans never assumed that he would be so threatening or menacing. However, when the Elbaph arc began, the Straw Hat Pirates heard a great deal about Loki from the other giants, and almost all of it was sinister. He was painted as the most evil character in One Piece.
According to the Giants, Loki was the accursed prince of Elbaph, who was driven by his hunger for power. He was the strongest giant in the entire Elbaph, and even after that, he craved more power, which is why he killed his father, King Harald, and supposedly ate the legendary Devil Fruit that is passed down through the royal bloodline of Elbaph.

Not only that, the Giants also revealed that it took the force of the entire Elbaph to imprison him and send him to the Underworld. Thus, it was believed that Loki might be the main antagonist of the second phase of the final saga in One Piece and also the next opponent of Luffy.
Loki might not be the killer of King Harald
Although the Giants in One Piece believe that Loki is the one who killed King Harald, the revelation of the second Shanks might have proved their assumptions wrong. According to a theory posted by u/Responsible_Camp_312 on Reddit, as the second Shanks landed directly within the main Elbaph castle, it is safe to say that he knows about the entire castle.
The theory states that in the past, the second Shanks and the other members of God Knights came to Elbaph to kill King Harald because of his views.
However, before they could kill him, Loki entered the castle and tried to save his father, but he couldn’t step up to the power of the God Knights. This is why he ate the legendary Devil Fruit to become even stronger.
But before he could use his power and save his father, second Shanks killed him and fled from the scene. This led to all the Giants in One Piece blaming Loki for the death of King Harald and imprisoning him. This is also the reason why Loki thinks Shanks is a coward, as he believes it was Shanks who killed King Harald and escaped before battling it out with him.
