Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are on a mission Wednesday night, September 11. They are hosting the two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces in a matchup that will have major implications for both teams in terms of their positioning in the playoff picture.

For her part, Clark made sure to bring her A-Game for this one as she showcased her talent against one of the strongest lineups in the league. For the rookie sensation, this included an insane stepback triple in the first half over six-time All-Star Chelsea Gray.

The Fever posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, but they decided to use an unreal angle of the epic triple.

Clark, who is coming off her third straight Eastern Conference Player of the Week win, used a jab step to create just enough separation from her defender. Gray was momentarily lost thanks to Caitlin’s fake, but the Aces veteran was still able to contest the shot. It didn’t matter, though, as Clark’s three ball still found the bottom of the net.

Unsurprisingly, the video has immediately blown up online, amassing close to 23,000 views (as of writing) in a little over 30 minutes since it was posted.

Clark and the Fever have been struggling in this one, though. They entered halftime down 41-32, and it goes without saying that they will need to play much better in the second half if they want to upset a powerhouse Las Vegas side in this high-stakes battle.
