The superstar Mahomes revealed in the past that he believes in an odd superstition
PATRICK Mahomes has decided to switch up his attire for the Kansas City Chiefs upcoming game in Week 13.
The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their first loss of the season after their 30-21 road defeat to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.

Last year, Mahomes revealed on ESPN’s Monday Night edition of Manningcast that he has an unusual superstition as he rocks the same pair of red underwear in each NFL game since beginning his NFL career.
The 28-year-old also shared that he doesn’t wash his gameday pair of underwear during a Chiefs’ winning streak.
“If we’re on a hot streak, I can’t wash them, you know, I just got to keep it rolling, so you know, as long as I’m winning football games, I’ll keep the superstition going,” the three-time NFL MVP explained last November.
So an X user reminded fans that Mahomes will wash his gameday underwear for the first time in the 2024 regular season after the Chiefs lost in Week 11 after beginning the year with nine straight wins.
“Breaking. #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes had not washed his red underwear in two months now & he wears the pair every Sunday,” the account MLFootball wrote on X.
“Mahomes does not wash this pair unless Kansas City loses… 10 games this season he wore them.”
It’s safe to say fans were disgusted by Mahomes’ superstition.
“Filthy I knew he smelled bad,” one commented.
“I don’t care about superstition in this case that’s nasty work,” another wrote.
“We didn’t need to know this,” a third added.

Mahomes said during his 2023 ESPN appearance that his wife, Brittany, bought the pair of red underwear in 2017.
“First, my wife Brittany got them for me, so I’m not throwing y’all down, but I have to wear them,” he told NFL legends Eli and Peyton Manning.
The Chiefs lost last week for the first time since Christmas last year.
Mahomes hopes to start a new streak with clean underwear.
In the loss to Buffalo, he finished completing 23 of 33 passes for 196 yards with three touchdown passes and two interceptions.
The Kansas City offense finished with a season-low 259 yards.
They could meet with the Bills again in the playoffs.
“We’ll do it again, baby,” the Chiefs quarterback said as the two then hugged.
Allen seemed to agree as the two then went their separate ways.
The back-to-back Super Bowl reigning champion Chiefs have dominated the rivalry, winning three straight playoff matchups.
