After days of speculation that Davante Adams could be traded from the Oakland Raiders, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has broken his silence on a possible reunion.

Adams’ agitation with his current team has been a constant over the last year, with it ramping up over the last week.

Having Gardner Minshew for a quarterback and Adams turning 32 by the end of this season is seemingly motivating him to pursue better opportunities.

One of the most likely destinations is the Jets to have a second stint with Rodgers as his quarterback after the two played for eight seasons together in Green Bay.

‘I don’t know how much I can say about it because of tampering, but I still have a close friendship with him,’ Rodgers said. ‘We spent time in the offseason together. He’s a great guy and a great player. The rest of that is out of my hands.’New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his silence on a possibly reunion with Adams

The New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys have also come up as possible destinations for Adams.

The Raiders appear open to dealing the frustrated receiver for the first price, with a package including a second-round pick as the believed starting point.

New York is 2-2 this season, but with a healthy Rodgers behind center, fortunes look up. That would only increase with Adams coming into the fold.

The Saints are a legitimate contender to land Adams with New Orleans starting Derek Carr at quarterback, who also previously played with Adams in Las Vegas.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter did list the Kansas City Chiefs as a team the Raiders would not trade Adams to, however.

Other teams that have been mentioned as possibilities for Adams due to exceeding expectations this season are the Steelers and Commanders.

Both Washington and Pittsburgh have young, mobile quarterbacks in Jayden Daniels and Justin Fields.

Adams, who has three years left on his contract and is set to make $35.6million in 2025 and 2026, would presumably become the No. 1 receiver on his first day with either the Steelers or Commanders.
