With Super Bowl 59 approaching, the NFL is calling for Congress to put an end to the ongoing U.S. drone invasion.

The U.S. drone invasion is one of the more mysterious and baffling sagas of 2024. Since November, there have been numerous drones spotted across the Northeast in multiple states, including New York, Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Some of these drones have flown over U.S. military bases. Government officials continue to investigate, though the Pentagon stated that most drones you see in the air are merely for recreational use and nothing sinister.

As the NFL nears the conclusion of the 2024 season, the league wants Congress to take action against the U.S. drone invasion, fearing that the flying objects will become an issue at football games.

“The time for us to act on this is now,” NFL chief security officer Cathy Lanier said, per Sierra Fox of FOX 5 DC.. “We don’t want to wait until something bad happens.”

U.S. Drone Invasion Can’t Be A Problem In Super Bowl 59

Super Bowl 59 will be played inside the New Orleans Saints’ home venue, the Caesars Superdome, on Feb. 9. As the venue is a dome with a roof over top, flying drones won’t be an issue at the big game.

But of course, most NFL stadiums don’t have a roof. So the U.S. drone invasion can still be a cause of concern for the clubs who play outdoors without roof protection, such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.

Actress Shailene Woodley Opens Up With Shocking New Revelations About Her “Toxic Relationship” With Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets have struggled so far this season. That being said, Aaron Rodgers is one of the top signal callers in the NFL. While his record in 2024 may not show it, Rodgers has had a decent stat line this far.

The New York Jets took on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday where they unfortunately fell to a record of 3-9, which is not good news for the team as they are pretty much out of playoff contention. This year is most certainly Rodgers’ last with gang green.

So far in 2024, Aaron Rodgers has thrown for over 2600 yards while adding a 19 scores compared to eight interceptions. He threw 185 of those yards and 2 of those touchdowns in the teams loss to Seattle.

While Rodgers’ Jets may be having a rough season so far, that isn’t the only bad news he is facing as of recently. Rodgers’ ex-girlfriend, actress Shailene Woodley, had quite the tea spill on the duo’s high profile year long relationship and engagement.

Aaron Rodgers And Shailene Woodley Didn’t Have A Healthy Relationship

Recently Woodley got candid with Outside Magazine, talking about her and Rodgers’ relationship which began back in 2021. “I haven’t shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry,” she said.

“It was not right. But it was beautiful,” she told Outside, adding that she “had a really awful, traumatic thing happen in early 2022.” Woodley claimed that it caused her about six months of depression, and many people are concluding that it was the calling off of the engagement.

Woodley continued about her relationship with Rodgers, calling is a “toxic relationship” after saying “I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy. I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.”

While the two may have been engaged, after what Woodley has said about the former Green Bay Packers star, it doesn’t seem like the two will be friendly towards each other anytime soon. Hopefully the comments don’t affect the quarterback that much heading into the Jets’ week 14 match up.
