Family matters are important in life, shaping who people are and the choices they make. For public figures like Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, balancing personal responsibilities with the pressure of a high-profile career can be tricky. As his basketball career grows, Edwards faces a different challenge involving his personal life and the question of fatherhood.
Timberwolves star Edwards has filed a legal petition for a paternity test to determine if he is the father of a child with influencer Ayesha Howard, who shares a son with rapper Lil Baby. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Edwards is seeking genetic testing for himself, Howard, and the child.
The petition, filed in Georgia in September, states: “If genetic testing shows that the petitioner is the father, the petitioner requests an order establishing the minor child’s paternity.” A status conference is set for November 13.
Howard, known as “Little Ms. Golden” on Instagram, has not publicly addressed the filing and has been absent from her social media since May. She frequently posted about her son, Jason, with Lil Baby.

Anthony Edwards, meanwhile, has kept his personal life private, though reports indicate he has recently fathered at least three children. One was born to his girlfriend Shannon in March, a moment featured in Netflix’s Starting 5, where Edwards left a Timberwolves game at halftime to attend the birth.
Shannon also has a son with rapper Chief Keef. Another woman, “Ally D,” claims Edwards fathered a daughter with her a month before her son was born, with rumors suggesting he had a third child around the same time. These claims remain unconfirmed.
Anthony Edwards Faces Increased Expectations Amid Personal Challenges
While Edwards has not publicly commented on the paternity case or the rumors, he has shared his perspective on fatherhood in an interview for Starting 5: “I can’t speak on fatherhood as a whole, but right now it’s just the best feeling in the world, for sure. Parenting and basketball, I mean, I got a life over here. I got a life over here.”
As the Timberwolves prepare for the new season, Edwards is expected to take on a more significant role following recent roster changes. The team reached the Western Conference Finals last season, with Edwards emerging as a key figure.
With Karl-Anthony Towns traded to the Knicks, the pressure is on Anthony Edwards to lead the team. Despite his matters, he remains focused on his basketball career, with analysts predicting he could contend for the MVP award in the upcoming season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily have had to evacuate their home this week because of Hurricane Helene.
The hurricane hit northern Florida pretty hard, causing major flooding and power loss.
Mayfield, his wife Emily, their daughter, and their dog left their residence before the storm hit as a means of caution. Emily furnished her followers with an update on Friday.
“Baker, Koko, Fergus and I evacuated yesterday and are safe,” she said via Instagram. “Our sweet, sweet community got pummeled, but even that doesn’t compare to the people up North who took this storm head on. It’s unfathomable.”
Emily is grateful that Helene did not affect the Mayfield home but revealed she was “praying nonstop” for the people dealing with the impact while also offering tangible assistance.
“I am looking for ways to get out and tangibly help,” she added. “Please send me anything you find, and I will share the good ones.”
