Angel Reese Gets Cocky and Recounts the Moment She Realized WNBA All-Stars Would Defeat Team USA
Angel Reese has a lot to say for the US Team. After the All-Star squad defeated the U.S. Olympic team 117-109, the WNBA All-Star weekend came to an amazing conclusion. Due to the Paris Olympics, the league, which has been establishing records for viewership, ratings, and merchandise sales, will now take a nearly month-long break. This Friday, July 26, the Olympic opening ceremony will feature a 3.72-mile river parade through the center of Paris along the Seine. Reese said,
“We knew after our little 30-minute practice yesterday that we were going to win,” “The tone was set.”
Reese’s haughty remarks following the game served to emphasize the team’s high level of confidence before the match.
They played against the team that is considered to be the finest in the world, and they will undoubtedly take the gold medal with ease. I doubt that they would face additional challenges in Paris against an Olympic opponent.
Even though it was only an exhibition match, Reese and Clark‘s absence from the Olympics gave these players even more motivation to demonstrate that they were ready for such a big task. They will now need to wait four years to compete in Los Angeles 2028, and who knows—perhaps one of them will have a ring on their finger by then.
How Did Angel Reese and Clark Fare?
With fan voting up 600% from the previous year, rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese made a big impression in their debut All-Star game. Although they had a well-known rivalry, there was no friction between them as teammates during the match.
Reese, who finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds to become the first rookie to earn a double-double in an All-Star game, actually received Clark’s record-breaking tenth assist. In just their first three months as pros, these two women have already taken the WNBA to unparalleled heights, and this performance amplifies the message they are trying to convey
