On Monday, Favre got on X, sounding off against people who “put other countries above us.”

“If you’re born in the USA or an American citizen and you put other countries above us, then that’s unpatriotic. That’s it,” he wrote.

Favre followed that up with another statement on Tuesday, reiterating his stance.

“Don’t get why some Americans are against America,” he wrote.

“I see flags from other countries being flown on cars, trucks and houses. Anyone else wonder why?

“I don’t expect American flags flying when I travel overseas, but it’s done on the daily here.”

Favre also posted a subtle dig at Taylor Swift on his X account after she publicly endorsed Kamala Harris.

Patrick Mahomes came out and said he wouldn’t endorse a candidate, and Favre tweeted about it and mentioned “pop artists.”

“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote.

“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves.

“If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”

Many athletes, current and former, use their platforms to speak about their political views and beliefs, Favre isn’t the only one.

However, many fans expressed their displeasure with the Hall of Famer and his statements in the comments of his posts.

Many of those fans called out Favre for an incident in 2020 where he improperly received $1.1 million from a nonprofit that was spending welfare money.

“Does this include you coming out to say you’re voting for Trump or ? It’s no different than Taylor endorsing Harris. Weird take,” one fan said.
