San Francisco 49ers Player Suffers Torn ACL At Practice, Ruled Out For Season As The Injuries Continue To Pile Up For The Defending NFC Champs

The defending NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers have been hit with another brutal injury break, with linebacker Curtis Robinson now out for the season.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced that Curtis Robinson is one for the season after suffering a torn ACL in Thursday’s practice. The 26-year-old appeared in all three games and had one tackle in a rotational role.
It’s the latest worrisome injury update for the 49ers. Earlier this week, they learned that superstar defensive tackle Javon Hargrave will likely miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn triceps.
Losing Curtis Robinson significantly dents the depth of the 49ers defense. They are still without linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who was placed on the PUP list as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles he suffered in the Super Bowl 58 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
And that’s only on the defensive side of the ball. The 49ers played last week without tight end George Kittle (hamstring, set to play in Week 4), All-Pro wideout Deebo Samuel (calf, questionable for Sunday) and superstar running back Christian McCaffrey (heel/Achilles injury).
McCaffrey has yet to play this season, and it’s still unclear when he might return. With Curtis Robinson now injured, things just got even harder for the 1-2 49ers as they try to gain ground on the NFC West-leading and 3-0 Seattle Seahawks.
Curtis Robinson Is A Pending Restricted Free Agent
The 26-year-old Robinson joined the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford in 2021. He was released late in the season before joining the 49ers’ practice squad, and Robinson has remained with the red and gold ever since.
The 49ers brought back Curtis Robinson after their Super Bowl loss to Kansas City. He is a pending exclusive rights restricted free agent, so the 49ers have an interesting decision to make when the 2025 league year begins.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily have had to evacuate their home this week because of Hurricane Helene.
The hurricane hit northern Florida pretty hard, causing major flooding and power loss.
Mayfield, his wife Emily, their daughter, and their dog left their residence before the storm hit as a means of caution. Emily furnished her followers with an update on Friday.
“Baker, Koko, Fergus and I evacuated yesterday and are safe,” she said via Instagram. “Our sweet, sweet community got pummeled, but even that doesn’t compare to the people up North who took this storm head on. It’s unfathomable.”
Emily is grateful that Helene did not affect the Mayfield home but revealed she was “praying nonstop” for the people dealing with the impact while also offering tangible assistance.
“I am looking for ways to get out and tangibly help,” she added. “Please send me anything you find, and I will share the good ones.”

Fans Were Praying For Baker Mayfield And Florida After Learning He Had To Evacuate His Home
Fans offered prayers for Mayfield, his family, and the city after coming across the update on X/Twitter.
“Praying everyone stays safe,” a user wrote.
“I’m glad they are safe! Family is more important than football. I’m glad that they were not in danger,” a second added.
“Wishing the best for the Bakers and the communities involved. 🙏,” said a third.
Helene was the first category storm to reach Florida’s Big Bend region in over 170 years.
The natural disaster is understood to have claimed several lives, including in the state. It has since been downgraded to a tropical depression but is still considered to be dangerous as it makes its way to the southeastern coast.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles at home this Sunday. The NFL has not announced any changes in kickoff time or venue so far.
PHOTO: Paparazzi Cameras Caught A Bitter Looking Travis Kelce On A Lunch Date With Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce was caught sulking while on a date with girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was trying to enjoy a meal in peace but, as he should have expected, the paparazzi was out in full force.
According to TMZ, Travis and Taylor hit Nobu Malibu in the daytime, so there was no way they were going to escape the cameras.
“The couple hit up one of the most frequented hot spots in town Sunday by dropping in on Nobu Malibu — and in broad daylight, no less … so you know they were ready to be snapped by paps, and they 100% were,” the publication reported.
The celebrity pair sat out on a balcony seat facing the ocean and were later seen holding hands on their way out. At one point, Kelce stared directly at one of the folks taking pictures of him, and he looked pissed.

Travis Kelce Must Be Used To Paparazzi By Now, So Was This A Bit Too Much?
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are quite used to having cameras all around them, especially now that they are an item. But perhaps having their attempt to just enjoy a meal invaded by paparazzi was a bit much, hence the death stare from the three-time Super Bowl winner.
Meanwhile, the two are likely keen on spending as much time together as they possibly can given that they’ve both gotten a well-deserved break from their busy schedules.
The NFL season is over, while Taylor’s Eras Tour is on pause. Travis has done a bit of flying this offseason, going to Australia and Singapore to attend Taylor’s concerts but they’re back in the U.S. now that her tour has gone on break.
