Rapper Nicki Minaj was seemingly arrested for allegedly ‘carrying drugs’ while travelling from Amsterdam to Manchester as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour
Nicki Minaj filmed herself seemingly getting arrested for allegedly “carrying drugs” while traveling from Amsterdam airport.
The 41-year-old rapper was traveling to Manchester,England, for her next Pink Friday 2 Tour show from the Netherlands capital. She vehemently denied she was carrying any drugs in footage shared on an Instagram Live, but was still told she needed to go to the police station.
In the video, a man said she would “get a lawyer at the office”. However, during the Instagram Live, Nicki said she was told to “get into this [police] van and go into the precinct with no lawyer present”. Before the alleged arrest, Nicki shared a series of posts on social media about her bags being pulled aside to be searched at the airport and claimed her tour was being “sabotaged”.

“They’ve been trying everything they possibly can to TRY to stop this tour,” she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. She then claimed staff were trying to “plant things” in her luggage.
Nicki also also shared a clip on Instagram of a man telling her police needed to take a closer look at her luggage. Alongside it, she wrote: “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.”
In a video clip, airport staff told the rapper that they had “to offload all the luggage and to search everything”. She told him: “But wasn’t that what you planned on doing from the get-go? Why didn’t you guys search it before it went on the plane?”
The staff member explained how that had been a “random, quick check” and they now wanted to open the luggage. Nicki continued to ask why they now wanted to search her luggage, with the man explaining: “First of all, because you filmed him [and] he doesn’t believe you that you don’t have more with you than you say.”
Nicki hit back as she said: “No, he asked me, ‘Do I have any more in those purses’ and I said, ‘No,’ and I asked him where are my bags. They took my bags and put them on the plane before I could know what bags are on the plane.”

The airport staff member apologized for the incident. It’s been a controversial year for Nicki after her rap battle with Megan Thee Stallion. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion released her diss single HISS in January and seemingly threw shade at celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Tory Lanez but the one that really had people talking was the shade she threw at rapper Nicki.
Megan mentions Megan’s Law, a sexual offense law in the track, which is thought to be aimed at Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty. The lyric in the track goes: “These h*** don’t be mad at Megan, these h*** mad at Megan’s Law.”
Nicki hit back calling Megan a “serpent” and a “liar” on Twitter. She wrote: “You scary a** p***y ass broke a** heaux. Scared of me putting a song out but tryna spar with the mthfkng QUEEN. lied on yo DEAD @theestallion.” She is referring to Megan’s mother, Holly Thomas, who died in March 2019. She also posted: “Megan’s law. For a free beat, you could hit #MeganRAW. – Roman” Roman is Nicki’s alter ego.
Many fans came to Nicki’s defense about the verse and were surprised she directly mentioned the artist. One person wrote: “Y’all begged for Nicki to be direct it ain’t getting any more direct than this!!!!” Another wrote: “THE @ ???? OMG IM GAGGGING.”
She then released her own track in retaliation of her own, Big Foot, where she rapped: “Bad b**** she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The b***h fell off, I said get up on your good foot.”
