NFL fans are feeling it for Joe Buck following the ESPN commentator supposedly jinxing Chris Godwin on Monday.
Buck and booth partner Troy Aikman were on the call for the ‘Monday Night Football’ fixture between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens. He would question Todd Bowles’ decision to have starters on the field with the Bucs down by 10 with less than a minute to go in the fourth quarter.
The veteran announcer advised living to fight another day, literally seconds before Godwin suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle after making a catch.
“Oh no,” he was heard saying on the broadcast. “He can’t get up. I’m told from our production truck, we are not going to show the replay.”
Buck feels horrible about what happened.
“I’d rather be wrong,” he told The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand. “I would rather nothing had happened. Not that anybody is different than anybody else, but Godwin is one of the really great guys in the league.

“None of these guys, none of these head coaches, want to look like they’re giving up on a game, but from where I sat at that moment, it was a really physical game that whole night.
“You kind of feel sick that happened.”
Fans Had Plenty To Say About Joe Buck’s Comments
The article drew several reactions from fans, who sounded off in The Athletic’s comment section.
“He was literally proven correct, almost immediately…” one noted.
“He said what I’ve thought many times while watching NFL games. It’s a long season, live to fight another day,” someone else said.
“By my standards, Buck’s call was spot on. Buck righy has gotten a lot of hate for over 33 years years. But that call was correct, educational, and showed that there’s a coaching brain in him somewhere,” another fan chimed in.
Of course, everyone feels they could take the moment back, more so Todd Bowles, but we can only hope the injury doesn’t impact Godwin’s free agency, especially given the remarkable season he was having before getting hurt.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
VIDEO: NFL Fans Are Calling For Joe Buck To Retire Immediately After His Disastrous Call During Massive Game-Changing Play In Bills-Jets MNF Game

The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills are facing off on “Monday Night Football” to conclude Week 6 of the regular season. In the booth for ESPN are broadcasters Joe Buck and Troy Aikman
On the last play of the first half, quarterback Aaron Rodgers launched a 52-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass that Allan Lazard caught. It was an amazing play that rarely happens.
However, Buck is now catching some heat on social media for his commentary during the play.
During the call, Buck had falsely called the play incomplete until doubling back once he saw a referee signaling a touchdown.
He was monotone throughout the entire thing, making it feel a bit less special.
A lot of fans are now calling the broadcaster out.

“Worst Joe Buck call since “that was a disgusting act by Randy Moss,” said one comment.
“This is actually nuts. 21 seconds left and I turned it off at half, assuming a kneel down lmao Thanks for ruining a legendary moment Joe Buck,” said another.
“Joe Buck with yet ANOTHER horrendous call on an incredible play,” added a third.
Of course, you would like to hear more excitement, at least after Buck found out it was a touchdown.
Joe Buck Is One Of The Highest Paid Sports Broadcasters
Many people might not like it when Buck calls a game for their favorite team, but the broadcaster has made himself one of the highest paid in his field.
Currently, Buck makes between $12 – 15 million a year for ESPN in 2022 to be the every weekman for “Monday Night Football.
That makes him the fourth highest-paid NFL broadcaster, sitting just behind his partner Troy Aikman.
