Hailey Van Lith had a solid display in TCU’s 90-31 blowout victory over Texas State on Nov. 13. Her performance was noteworthy to the point that fans believed she has returned to her top form, with one comparing her to WNBA star Kelsey Plum.

Van Lith was active on both sides of the ball throughout the game, putting up 17 points, nine assists, six rebounds and two steals on 7-of-17 shooting from the field. So far, she is averaging 17 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists and three steals per game as she’s helped TCU get off to a 3-0 start on the season.

College basketball fans reacted to Hailey Van Lith’s performance after the game, with some believing she looks more comfortable in her role at TCU than she was at LSU. Here are some of their reactions:

Hailey Van Lith’s departure from LSU, playing last NCAA season at TCU

Hailey Van Lith recently revealed the reason behind her departure from the LSU Tigers, where she played her senior year. Transferring from Louisville, she joined the then-defending champions in 2023, hoping to help them win back-to-back titles.

However, they were unsuccessful in that objective, losing to Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Van Lith saw her efficiency drop at LSU, going from 19.7 points per game on 41.1% shooting in the 2022-23 season to 11.6 points on 37.8% shooting overall the following year.

“The hardest part about moving to a new school for me is that I’m a very Type A person. So routines are huge, consistency is huge. I’ve had to learn that sometimes I have to be okay without having a routine for a while,” Van Lith said in an Overtime YouTube video uploaded on Nov. 10.

“Am I going to let all the days waste away before then, not being present living in the future of like I can’t do anything until this happens until this happens? So, it’s challenged me a lot mentally.”

Hailey Van Lith will look to help TCU improve to 4-0 when they host No. 13 NC State at the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena on Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. ET.
