Kansas City Chiefs fans fume with Travis Kelce after last-play act in Bills loss as worrying stats emerge

Kelce struggled in the Week 11 game

KANSAS City Chiefs fans weren’t thrilled with Travis Kelce after the TV cameras spotted him at the end of the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The 35-year-old Kelce had an underwhelming showing in the Chiefs’ 31-20 road loss to the Buffalo Bills.

With 1:07 left in the game, Patrick Mahomes intended a fourth-down pass to Kelce only for it to be intercepted by Bills’ Terrell Bernard.

The play cemented Kansas City’s first loss of the 2024 season.

CBS then showed Kelce walking off the field and gave a little round of applause.

The nine-time Pro Bowl tight ended finished the day with just two catches for eight yards.

It was his second-lowest receiving game this year as he barely topped his Week 2 line of one catch for five yards against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Chiefs fans took issue with Kelce’s last-play gesture.

“Kelce is such a loser,” one wrote.

“Kelce is such a tool,” another commented.

“He clapped more times than he had catches,” a third said.

Kelce’s act could’ve been to pick up his teammates, give respect to the Bills, or mock Buffalo’s fanbase.

Bills star quarterback Josh Allen has a 4-1 record versus Mahomes and the Chiefs in the regular season.

However, Mahomes and the Chiefs are 3-0 against Allen and the Buffalo squad in the postseason.

Most recently, Kansas City beat the Bills in January’s AFC Divisional Round playoff game.

At the end of the fourth quarter of that game, Kelce blew kisses to the crowd.

The Chiefs went on to beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game and win their second straight Super Bowl.

Kelce had been improving recently after a slow start to the 2024 campaign.

In Kansas City’s previous three games entering Sunday, he posted 32 receptions for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

The 9-1 Chiefs and the 9-2 Bills have the two best records in the AFC.

Kansas City will look to rebound as they will take on the 3-7 Carolina Panthers next Sunday in Week 12.
