Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre has made another firm political statement with the 2024 United States presidential election inching closer.

The 54-year-old Brett Favre has been vocal about supporting former president and 2024 Republican nominee, Donald Trump. The Pro Football Hall of Famer wrote on Twitter (now X) in Oct. 2020 that he was voting for Trump over Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who went on to win the election.

On Monday afternoon, the three-time league MVP took to X and offered another political statement, stating that it’s “unpatriotic” for American citizens to “put other countries above” the United States:

Brett Favre didn’t specify what made him post that message, but le’ts just say that he might want to look away from the replies:

Favre is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, earning 11 Pro Bowl nods and three MVP awards to go along with his Super Bowl 31 championship ring (won with the Green Bay Packers).

The three-time First-team All-Pro retired as the all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns leader, though Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady (the all-time leader) have since moved ahead of the Packers icon.

The 1991 second-round pick turned the Packers into an NFC juggernaut over his 16 years with the franchise, leading them to 11 playoff appearances and two Super Bowl berths.

Brett Favre & Other Athletes To Endorse Donald Trump

Favre is one of several notable athletic figures who have endorsed and/or donated to Donald Trump and his campaign, along with John Elway, Mike Ditka, Jay Cutler, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Bobby Orr, Mike Tyson, Bob Cousy, and wrestling legends The Undertaker and Chris Jericho.

Trump is running against Vice President Kamala Harris, who, with a victory in the election, would become the first female American president. If Trump wins, he would become the second president to serve two non-consecutive terms, joining Grover Cleveland in that exclusive club.

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.

He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.

“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.

“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
