Raiders’ Maxx Crosby Issues Stern Warning To Patrick Mahomes While Discussing Antonio Pierce’s Comments About Inflicting Pain On The Chiefs QB
Las Vegas Raiders superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby has given his insight on the interesting “Mahomes rules” comment made by head coach Antonio Pierce two weeks ago.
Pierce made headlines during a recent appearance on Crosby’s “The Rush” podcast when he referenced the “Jordan Rules” and noted that the Raiders must follow a similar idea to contain Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes:
“We’ve got the Jordan rules and we’ve got what I’m calling now, from now on as long as I’m here, the Patrick Mahomes rules. You remember when Jordan was going through it with the Pistons, all those guys in the ’80s before he became Michael Jordan, Air Jordan, the Pistons used to whip his a*s. Any time he came to the hole, elbows, feeling him, love taps. We’re in his head, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, I’m touching you. So I showed my guys Jordan getting his a*s whooped.”
We’ve got to knock off the head of the snake. Fifteen. Hate the color red. There’s a hatred for the Chiefs.”
Some folks didn’t like Pierce’s comments, believing he was admitting that the Raiders have an intent to injure the league’s best player. Crosby wanted to clarify that this isn’t the case, though he was sure to offer a stern warning to Mahomes.
“People are sensitive these days, so they take things out of context,” Crosby told Vegas Sports Today (via Justin Churchill of A to Z Sports). “But, yeah, he’s got multiple MVPs and Super Bowls; if we wanna win, we gotta take him down. That goes for everybody. He knows I’m coming for him; I’m on that energy every day. It’s not malicious…we play the game the right way, but we play with ill intent, and we play violent.”
