Randall Cobb and his family thankfully avoided an unimaginable tragedy following a terrifying accident at their home.

Aiyda Cobb, Randall Cobb’s wife, posted on her Instagram story that the family was “lucky to be alive” after a fire started in their home. Aiyda stated that the charger for their Tesla caught fire “and quickly spread” across the house.

Cobb shared a photo of the terrifying scene, adding that she’ll give more details later on:

Aiyda and Randall Cobb got married in 2017 and have three sons.

Thankfully, the Cobbs managed to leave their house just in time to avoid a devastating tragedy. Hopefully, they’re doing okay and will be comfortable with their temporary living situation until they find a new permanent home.

The soon-to-be 34-year-old Cobb remains a free agent after spending last year with the New York Jets. GM Joe Douglas acquired Aaron Rodgers via trade with Packers and made his QB happy by bringing in several of his former Green Bay teammates.

But with Rodgers missing practically the entire 2023 season after suffering a torn Achilles, Randall Cobb struggled to find his game with the Jets. In 11 games, Cobb caught five passes for 39 yards and one touchdown.

Cobb played for the Packers from 2011 to 2018, helping them to two NFC Championship Game appearances (2014 and 2016). He had one-year stints with the Dallas Cowboys (2019) and Houston Texans (2020) before returning to Green Bay via trade in 2021.

Randall Cobb’s Career Appears To Be Winding Down

Cobb hasn’t been a productive wide receiver since 2019, when he put up 55 receptions for 828 yards and three touchdowns in Dallas. He has failed to hit the 40-catch and 500-yard marks in four straight years now, even with Rodgers as his main QB for two of those years.

It’s obvious that Cobb’s stellar NFL career is winding down. Even if he lands a contract for 2024, it could very well be the last season of Cobb’s run on the gridiron.
