Former NBA player Tim Duncan spent his entire 19-year career with the San Antonio Spurs. Now 48 years old, Duncan was a key contributor to the franchise’s success during the 2000s and 2010s. Despite his impressive achievements, he is often overlooked in discussions about the greatest basketball players of all time. Recently, former teammate Stephen Jackson highlighted this oversight.
During a recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaq, Jackson praised Duncan for his remarkable achievements. He emphasized Duncan’s vital role in the Spurs’ success and his understated yet significant impact on the game.
“He’s definitely on my [list]. I mean how could he not be? You just look at the body of work and what he’s done as a power forward. I mean he should be in the Top 5 of best of all time.” Jackson said.

Jackson initially played alongside the legendary Duncan for three seasons, from 2001 to 2003. He returned to the Spurs during the 2012-13 season and once again shared the court with Duncan. Jackson’s comments have sparked renewed discussions about Duncan’s legacy and the factors that influence a player’s recognition in basketball history.
Jackson Recounted His Encounter With Vice President Kamala Harris
Jackson played 14 seasons in the NBA for several teams. Throughout his career, he enjoyed many dominating seasons, but the most significant year was 2003. The 46-year-old won the NBA championship during the 2002-03 season.
After retiring, he participated in numerous interviews and podcasts, including the video podcast “All the Smoke” with Matt Barnes. Recently, Jackson shared an experience he had with Vice President Kamala Harris during a podcast conversation with Shaquille O’Neal.
“You know that a lot of people that support me don’t understand politics like I don’t understand and don’t really care to understand. But being my brother and being that you know, I trust the guys I have a company with and they are my brothers I opened my mind to certain things. And I did. I’m kind of happy that I did the interview now,” Jackson said.
Jackson has been increasingly open about his thoughts and feelings lately, sharing his perspectives on various topics candidly. He recently labeled Boston Celtics legend Ray Allen a “one-dimensional” player. Fans will likely find it fascinating to hear more from him as he continues to express his views.
