NBC Made A Point To Not Say One Particular Word During Commanders-Falcons SNF Game

The Washington Commanders defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 in overtime on ‘Sunday Night Football’ to seal a playoff berth for the first time since 2020.
There was one thing that the NBC broadcasters, as well as the graphic team, refused to do all night.
NBC’s broadcast showed a graphic comparing rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels’ record-breaking rushing season to former quarterback Robert Griffin III’s historic season in 2012.
However, they purposely did it without the old logo.
The rookie Commanders quarterback took down Robert Griffin III’s previous record for most rushing yards in a season by a rookie quarterback.
Neither Mike Tirico nor Cris Collinsworth would utter the word ‘Redskins,’ nor would the graphics team put it on the screen for millions to see.
Not only that, NBC edited out the “Redskins” from Robert Griffin III’s rookie jersey.

Thousands of Fans Want the Washington Commanders To Change Back To The Redskins
The Redskins became the Washington Football Team in 2020, then the Commanders in 2022.
The name of the football team playing in Washington, D.C. has been a topic of discussion for quite some time.
A group called the Native American Guardian’s Association has been demanding that Washington change their name back to the Redskins. They even organized support for the name reversal with a petition that has gained thousands of signatures.

The FBI seems to be closing in on the people responsible for burglarizing the homes of professional athletes.
The disturbing trend of celebrity athletes’ homes being broken into has continued. Luka Doncic has joined a long list that also includes Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce, Bobby Portis Jr., Tyler Seguin, and Dak Prescott.
The Mavericks superstar had his home broken into Friday night as he reportedly had jewelry valued at around $30,000 stolen, according to a police report obtained by the Dallas Morning News.
“No one was home at the time, and thankfully Luka and his family are safe,” Doncic’s business manager Lara Beth Seager told the newspaper. “Luka has filed a police report, and an investigation is ongoing.”
The home of Tyler Seguin, a longtime Dallas Stars leader and seven-time NHL All-Star, was burglarized last month.
Before that, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their homes hit. Joe Burrow’s home and Dak Prescott’s fiancee’s car would be next.
