During this 27-year-long journey, the grand series has showcased all sorts of characters, from ambitious to intellectual; the distinct personalities have only added to the allure of the title. The series is now in the final saga and has been slowly unraveling many of its secrets whilst featuring some of the biggest names.

The recent chapter has teased a name mentioned 1,017 chapters ago. Sadly, the mention has been for nothing because the mangaka has refrained from featuring him in person and used him only for narrative purposes.

Eiichiro Oda’s Reuse of Louis Arnot Sparks Curiosity Among One Piece Fans

Louis Arnot, the name that has been shrouded with mystery and countless speculations, has made his glorious return in Eiichiro Oda’s Chapter 1132 of the Elbaf Arc, where he talked about Elbaf Island’s mysterious time dilation, which resulted in an Inception-likefantheory. However, this was not the first time Arnot’s name was mentioned in the series because he was mentioned only once all the way back in Chapter 115 titled Little Garden of Adventure.

The name reminded Nami of the Straw Hats about his book called Brag Men, full of exaggerated and boastful stories, describing some unimaginable experiences. The highly anticipated return brings forth the adventurous spirit, where he mentions an ominous warning about overstaying on the islands of the giants and everything about them.

Thus, suggesting how the traveler has a profound connection to giants. This reintroduction of the character has made fans scratch their heads. Though it has not been mentioned, it can be interpreted that Arnot will play a key role in the further unraveling of the story.

Additionally, his book, Brag Men, will feature more stories that will aid in the development of the current storyline, despite it being notorious for being nothing but a collection of exaggerations. However, the book has already proved itself to be true as it teases another time skip in Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus.

It is too early to predict the words of Arnot, who sent shockwaves around the internet with his detailed insights about the mysterious events taking place in the OP verse. However, it becomes rather clear that his tale is central to the giants’ lore, and Eiichiro Oda’s reinvolvement of the character will aid the Straw Hat Pirates to learn more about the Land of the Giants.

The Mystery of Louis Arnot’s Survival in One Piece

Another major concern that followed Chapter 1132, when fans read the note from Arnot’s Brag Men, was how they wondered if the traveler was still alive. Since the note over 100 years ago, or somewhere around that period. Hence, the obvious would mean that he traveled the lands over a century ago and explored Elbaf in the same period. Therefore, the notion of him being alive is out of the window.

However, fans would lose their minds, because there’s a high probability of Arnot being alive. This notion is highly true because he warned fellow explorers to not spend too long on the island. When combining these two statements, it can be suggested that Louis Arnot learned that time flows differently outside the island.

Therefore, when headed back to the outside world, it had moved ahead, and he lost his place in the real world. Hence, it is highly possible that Arnot might be alive and is still on the island, patiently waiting for the manga artist to introduce him only when the time is ripe.
