Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is currently in his 16th NBA season. He will turn 37 in March 2025, yet he continues to perform at a high level against the league’s elite players. Despite his ongoing success, there have been frequent questions about his retirement plans.
Over the years, Curry has given his best efforts to the Warriors, helping them clinch 4 NBA titles. As he looks ahead in his career, Curry has been candid about his thoughts on retirement. Recently, during an interview with Emily Chang on Bloomberg’s “The Circuit,” he explained how players approach retirement while also suggesting that the time for his own retirement has not yet arrived.
“There are two ways to really go out in basketball: either you’re forced out or you go out on your own terms. I hope to be in a situation where you consider how your body feels, what it takes to get ready for games, and the offseason training that goes into preparing yourself for an 82-game season. There will be a clear sign that it’s time to hang it up. I don’t want to be the one that’s limping up and down the court trying to keep up with the young bucks, but I don’t think I’m anywhere close to that yet.” Curry said.
Curry is impressing his fans with outstanding performances in the 2024-25 NBA season. To enhance their championship prospects this year, the Warriors are actively seeking to add another star to support Curry.
Curry Discusses The Impact Of His Davidson Experience On His Success Beyond Basketball
Stephen Curry averages 22.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in the 2024-25 NBA season so far. But it’s not just his game that stands out; he’s also making waves off the court with some impressive projects. As of November 2024, his net worth is estimated to be between $240 million and $250 million. In a recent conversation with Emily Chang on Bloomberg’s “The Circuit,” he reflected on how his time at Davidson played a crucial role in shaping his success outside of basketball.
“Going to Davidson, it allowed me to have a perspective of; it wasn’t just about basketball. Like, there was a nice time management, intellectual journey at Davidson that kind of gave me a balance as well.” Curry said.
The Warriors are currently in 5th place in the Western Conference standings with 14 wins and 10 losses. Fans are concerned about Curry, who is sidelined due to right cervical (neck) inflammation.

There’s a conspiracy theory for just about everything, including bizarre ones relating to the highly publicized relationship between Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.
Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:
“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.
I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”
