NFL fans are losing their minds over a viral X/Twitter post that perfectly sums up the luck of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs this season.
Despite the struggles of Patrick Mahomes and the offense, the defending Super Bowl champions got past the Las Vegas Raiders 19-17 on Black Friday to improve to 11-1 on the season.
In a season full of whacky finishes that have gone Kansas City’s way, Friday’s win against Vegas may have been the luckiest of them all. The Raiders fumbled a snap in the waning seconds while in field goal range for Daniel Carlson, allowing Kansas City to seal the victory:
Incredibly, Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs have now won 14 straight one-score games dating back to last season. No matter how good or bad of a football team you are, that’s almost one-in-a-million luck.
This tweet from Mike Schaefer of 247Spots perfectly sums up the fortunes of the Chiefs at home this season:

Social media had all sorts of reaction to this post, as well as the Chiefs’ incredibly bizarre fortunes:
“lol no skill at all,” one fan said.
“The chiefs are officially reverse Nebraska-ing games,” a fan claimed.
“Chiefs are blessed and highly favored. The luckiest team in history. Will it run out?,” one fan said, attaching the GIF of Isaiah Likely’s no-TD in the season opener.
“It is neither luck, fortune, nor skill. The refs keep giving those games to the Chiefs, plain and simple. It’s good business (and lots of money) for the NFL if the Chiefs three-peat the Super Bowl,” another user said.

“I don’t know how they find a way to do it every week but mark my words, the Chiefs’ time is coming. They have looked extremely beatable, not impressive in any game they’ve played really. Average margin of victory 6 points, 9-0 in 1 score games. Luck runs out eventually,” another frustrated fan said.
“Chiefs remain the luckiest team ever, but let’s be real. This team is an enormous paper tiger and it is becoming clearer by the week,” claimed one user.
“The Chiefs are the luckiest 11-1 team ever. They should have at least 3 or 4 losses,” another fan said.
“You’ve never seen a luckier team in all of sports than the Chiefs. Never. It won’t last forever though,” a fan said.
The 11-1 Chiefs will try to keep their home winning streak intact when they host the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday night.
Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs Just Keep Finding Ways
As they say, “The better you are, the luckier you get.” It’s hard to comprehend how teams like the Chiefs and the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots could get so much luck, but it takes a lot of skill to win games you should lose.
They won’t outright admit it, but Chiefs’ opponents clearly have that seed of doubt in their brains. They know it often takes a near-perfect game to beat them, so it’s natural for self-doubt and nerves to take over at the most opportune times.
Kansas City Chiefs President Forced To Address Rumors That Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Relationship Is Just A “Marketing Strategy” For The Team

There’s a conspiracy theory for just about everything, including bizarre ones relating to the highly publicized relationship between Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.
Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:
“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.
I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”
