On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs prevailed against the Denver Broncos to improve to 9-0. Denver dropped to 5-5 and third in the AFC West. However, the game wasn’t without some theatrics at the end, which Patrick Mahomes responded to.

The Broncos lined up for a 35-yard field goal with one second left, trailing by two. All Denver needed was a clean kick to knock off the undefeated Chiefs. However, the kick was blocked, sending Kansas City and Mahomes into a frenzy.

Of course, comments quickly flooded in that the Chiefs were the “luckiest” team in the league, and the final play was all “luck.”

Considering it’s Mahomes, a good game only seems reasonable if he is breaking some record or throwing ridiculous passes, but he got the job done this week.

He completed 28 of 42 passes for 266 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. It’s only a matter of time until Mahomes returns to that MVP level, and the rest of the league will be in even more trouble.
