Simone Biles took a shot at a former Olympic teammate after making history at the games in Paris, France, this Tuesday.

Biles led Team USA to a gold medal in the team final and, in doing so, became the most decorated gymnast in American history.

She didn’t waste time pulling out the receipts after the win, taking to social media with a thinly-veiled swipe at former U.S. gymnast McKayla Skinner, who criticized the team’s work ethics heading into the 2024 Olympic Games by claiming Biles was the only one who worked hard.

“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t what it used to be,” she said, per US Weekly. “I mean, obviously, a lot of girls don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic. A lot of girls don’t work as hard.”

Simone Biles Had Some Words For McKayla Skinner

Following Tuesday’s win, Biles posted photos of herself and her teammates holding the American flag to Instagram and captioned the post, “lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions.”

Clearly, that was a shot at Skinner.

Simone Biles and McKayla Skinner were teammates at the 2020 Olympic Games, but they appear to have some issues.

Skinner had not replied to Biles’ post at the time of writing, but it’s unlikely that she will come up with anything now that Team USA has won gold.
