Dallas Mavericks have had an impressive start to their 2024-25 NBA season. Star player Luka Doncic is putting his best effort into leading his team to the championship this season. The Slovenian basketball player currently averages 28.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in over the 20 games he has played so far.

In a recent game against the Golden State Warriors, Doncic delivered a dominating performance, scoring a triple-double with 45 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds. His commitment to making stellar plays was evident even after the game, as he had multiple scratches on his body.

During the post-game press conference following the Mavericks’ 143-133 win over the Warriors, these marks were visible, highlighting the physical effort he put into the match. Furthermore, basketball fans began sharing their thoughts in the comments section on X (formerly Twitter) after seeing the scratches.

Another fan remarked, “wiggins defense is just scratching like a cat.”

A Mavericks supporter said, “Andrew Wiggins doesn’t trip his nails.”

Another Doncic fan commented, “N they say he be crying lol..him n Kai has the worst whistle in the league lol.”

A sports enthusiast remarked, “This is every game, which is why he’s always getting onto the refs.”

Luka Doncic Voices Concerns Regarding Team’s Defense

After their recent victory against the Warriors, the Mavericks are currently in 4th place in the Western Conference. Despite their impressive performance against Golden State, Luka Doncic expressed some concerns about the team’s defensive efforts. In the post-game press conference, he emphasized the importance of rebounds for their overall success.

“It means we’ve gotta guard better, I think our defense needs to step up. Obviously, our offense, we’ve got a lot of weapons. But at the end of the day, we gotta rebound the ball, and when we rebound, we’re a very dangerous team.” Doncic said.

The Mavericks have a record of 17 wins and nine losses in the 2024-25 NBA season. Their next game is against the Los Angeles Clippers at the American Airlines Center.
