Josh Allen reportedly came into Sunday’s matchup with the New England Patriots with a fractured hand, and things only got worse during this game.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback also appeared to hurt his throwing hand in the Week 16 showdown. That was evident when he had to receive medical attention on the sidelines in the fourth quarter of the AFC East contest.
Mitchell Trubisky briefly began warming up on the sidelines while Allen received attention.
Allen completed fewer than 60% of his passes as the Bills narrowly escaped with a 3-point victory over the Patriots.
After the game, Josh Allen admitted he lost feeling in his throwing hand. He did not miss a single play and says all feeling has returned to his right hand.
“I don’t know if there’s the elbow or helmet or the ground, but lost some feeling in my hand. Just hit the funny bone nerve and went to throw the ball and just had no feeling in the hand,” Allen said. “So it’s, tough one.”

“It took a good 5-10 minutes of just making sure — trying to get some blood flow back in there and some activation. It’s a weird feeling, glad it’s gone now,” Allen said, via Jenna Cottrell of WHAM.
The Bills improved to 12-3 on Sunday with their win over New England.
Josh Allen Has Been Playing Through Broken Hand
There were questions about Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s left hand in Week 1, but nobody knew just how bad it truly was.
A from NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport said, “Allen has played through most of his MVP-caliber season with a fractured left hand” after he went airborne on a fourth-quarter touchdown run during that Week 1 home victory against the Arizona Cardinals.
Despite the reported injury, Allen came into his latest game with MVP-type numbers this season, completing 275 of 427 passes (64.4 percent) for 3,395 yards, 25 touchdowns, five interceptions, and a 79.3 rating quarterback rating.
Allen completed 16 of 29 passes for 154 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in Sunday’s 24-21 win over the Patriots.

The three-time Super Bowl champion has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift for over a year. Their rumored romance was confirmed when Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 3, 2023 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce’s romance with Swfit has been a giant win for the Chiefs and the NFL, too. She has brought plenty more attention to the NFL and contributed to the Chiefs’ skyrocketing popularity worldwide.
Naturally, conspiracy theorists believe the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance is simply a marketing ploy to help the Chiefs and the league. But Chiefs president Mark Donovan finally addressed the ridiculous rumor during an appearance on NBC’s “Squawk Box” program:
“I’d love to say that it was a marketing strategy, but it is an authentic relationship. And we’re happy to have it, and it’s been nothing but good for us.
I think the best thing I can say about the whole relationship and the impact it’s had on us is, Taylor Swift is an authentic member of the Kansas City Chiefs kingdom. She’s an authentic fan and that matters to our fans and our fan base and to matters to us and we try to respect that.”
