Unfortunately, like most games this season, the game will not end without controversy, and many think it is fixed in favor of the Browns.
The first noncall came on a pass to Steelers wide receiver George Pickens. It came as Picken ran a streak route, looking for a big gain.
Browns cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. made clear contact as the ball came in, yet there was no pass interference call.

You could argue that it was more of a case of feet getting tangled up, but these instances warrant a flag all the time and now should have been no different.
The more egregious call helped Cleveland out while they were on offense, eventually resulting in a touchdown.

It came on a completed catch to wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. The only problem is that he should have been called for the “hands to the face” penalty as he was seen grabbing the facemask of corner Joey Porter Jr.

Social Media Detectives Caught NFL.com Writing An Embarrassingly Inaccurate Article About Browns RB Nick Chubb

Social media detectives noticed a glaring error on an NFL.com article of Nick Chubb that was posted before the Cleveland Browns-Pittsburgh Steelers ‘Thursday Night Football’ game at Huntington Bank Field.
Thursday marks Nick Chubb’s first game against the Steelers since he suffered a gruesome season-ending knee injury at Acrisure Stadium in Week 2 last year. Another reminder that tomorrow’s game is in Cleveland, with the two teams squaring off again in Pittsburgh in two weeks.
Ahead of Thursday’s game, NFL.com posted an article about Chubb facing the Steelers for the first time since his injury. But as NFL analyst Warren Sharp noted, the article incorrectly stated that this game was in Pittsburgh:

NFL.com has since updated the article with a new title that reads, “Browns’ Nick Chubb sees first matchup against Steelers since knee injury as ‘normal game.’” They also acknowledged the mistake at the start of the piece.
But the updated story came too little, too late. Social media had a field day ripping on NFL.com for this glaring mistake:

Nick Chubb required two separate surgeries to repair his medial capsule meniscus, MCL and ACL. After missing most of 2023 and the first six games of 2024, Chubb returned to the Browns for their Week 7 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Through his first four games of 2024, the four-time Pro Bowler has 163 rushing yards and one touchdown.
Nick Chubb & Browns Look To Play Spoiler vs. Bitter Rivals
The Browns playoff hopes are all but over with a 2-8 record. Even if they were to win out somehow, 9-8 won’t be enough to snag the AFC’s last wild-card spot.
But Chubb and company can play spoiler over their final games. The 8-2 Steelers lead the AFC North and are in the running for the conference’s top seed, so Cleveland should embrace the chance to disrupt Pittsburgh’s postseason position.
