The NFL is filled with crazy storylines, many of which are unexpected. So much so that Taylor Swift has had an effect on a team entirely unrelated to the Chiefs, and Ben Sinnott is seemingly benefitting from it.

Ben Sinnott was drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders with their second-round pick. It was initially acquired via trade from the Philidelphia Eagles and became the number 53 overall draft pick.

Sinnott has been having a quiet season thus far for the Washington Commanders, and the team is benefiting from all aspects this season. Sinnott finally scored his first touchdown against the Carolina Panthers in week seven, but it was the name of the play that was called that caught fans’ attention.

Commanders’ offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals before joining Washington, claimed that the name of the play on which Sinnott scored was “Taylor Swift.”

Ben Sinnott’s First Touchdown Was On A Play Called “Taylor Swift”

The play in question saw Commanders’ backup signal-caller Marcus Mariota, who the team signed this off-season as a mentor for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, throw a quick pass to Ben Sinnott, who was open short in the flats, leading the team to score a touchdown.

Not only was it Sinnot’s first career touchdown in the NFL, but it was also his first career catch, and odds are that Sinnott will be a Swifty for life after this one. Kingsbury also hilariously has a play called “Kelce.”

The Commanders are set to play the Chicago Bears in week eight, and the question remains whether we will see Kingsbury break out the play “Kelce.” It would solidify Sinnott’s Tayvis following for life!

Baltimore Police Announce Update On Delinquent Ravens Fan Who Was Filmed Assaulting Two Innocent Washington Commanders Fans After Sunday’s Game

The Baltimore Police Department has announced an update over a disturbing incident involving a Ravens fan and two Washington Commanders supporters after Sunday’s game.

A viral video after the Baltimore-Washington game at M&T Bank Stadium shows a Ravens fan in a Lamar Jackson jersey going up to two Commanders jerseys and attacking them, seemingly unprovoked and for no reason.

The Baltimore supporter knocks one fan to the ground with a vicious punch, before throwing the other fan in a Washington jersey against the wall. The gutless and cowardly Baltimore fan then tries to look cool by screaming, “I don’t f**king lose.”

You can see the video below. (WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS NSFW language and violence that may be disturbing to viewers.)

Per Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department said that they’re investigating the disturbing video of the assault by the Ravens fan:

The Baltimore Police Department is aware of a social media video depicting an assault occurring near Cross Street in our Southern District.

Currently, there have been no reports or calls made to police concerning this incident. Detectives are actively investigating the video. Anyone possessing information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Southern District at 410-396-2499 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-Lockup.”

The first showdown between the Ravens and Commanders since 2020 culminated in a 30-23 victory for the home team. Lamar Jackson’s Ravens have won four in a row and are sitting pretty at 4-2 heading into Week 7.

This Hooligan Ravens Fan Is In For A Rude Awakening

There are sadly too many cases of NFL fans being unnecessarily cruel and violent. They forget that this is nothing more than a sporting event, and it’s supposed to be fun and games.

Once this Ravens fan is identified, he’ll regret his actions. A lifetime ban from M&T Bank Stadium and criminal charges are likely, for starters. He’ll likely be fired from his job and will find it difficult to find work soon after, too.

So if you’re a sports fan and ever find yourself in a situation where you’re about to do something dumb, criminal and harmful like this guy, just remind yourself that it won’t be worth the long-term consequences. Enjoy a recreational game. Don’t let it ruin your life for stupid reasons.
