Dallas Cowboys Finally Go “All-In” By Acquiring 5-Time Pro Bowl Wide Receiver In Blockbuster Trade Proposal

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has yet to deliver on his promise of the team going “all-in” this offseason, but it’s not too late to change that.
Two weeks after the Green Bay Packers eliminated the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round, Jones said his team would go “all-in” during the offseason. Fast forward to training camp, however; he has yet to make a single blockbuster trade or notable free agent signing.
Not only that, but Jones has yet to extend quarterback Dak Prescott or wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who are entering the final year of their respective deals. Linebacker Micah Parsons is also eligible for a contract extension after finishing the third year on his rookie deal.
The Cowboys have a nice set of playmakers for Prescott in Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Jake Ferguson. But the Prescott-led offense could reach another level if Jones were to swing a trade for one more play-making weapon.
One potential trade target that makes sense for the Dallas Cowboys is old friend Amari Cooper, a five-time Pro Bowler who was sent to the Cleveland Browns in a cap-saving move during the 2022 offseason.
Cooper did wonders in Dallas, compiling 292 receptions for 3,893 yards and 27 touchdowns in Dallas over his four years there. He’s entering the final year of his contract with Cleveland, and they may be reluctant to extend a wideout who turns 31 next year.
Dallas consistently fields a top-five offense. Bringing back the five-time Pro Bowler could be the move that finally gets this team over the hump in the NFC.
What Dallas Cowboys Should Offer For Amari Cooper
The Cowboys should offer the Browns a 2025 fourth-round pick and wide receiver Jalen Tolbert, a 2022 third-round pick who has yet to find his game in Dallas.
Perhaps a fresh start would help Tolbert reach his potential. Cleveland would open up additional cap room to potentially make another big move for a receiver (Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and Courtland Sutton come to mind as possible options).
With Cooper returning as Prescott’s No. 2 wide receiver, Dallas ‘offense would have unlimited potential in 2024.
