Caitlin Clark continued to make dreams come true at the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game as she shared a cute moment with Kobe Bryant’s youngest daughter as Vanessa gratefully watched on at the Footprint Center.

The Indiana Fever’s star player produced 10 assists against Team USA as she and Angel Reese struck up quite the partnership, but perhaps her best moment of the night came when she greeted the Los Angeles Lakers‘ legend’s family

The 22-year-old is known for her fan engagement and took the time to talk to Capri Bryant, who seemed a bit shy as the icon spoke to her, moving excitedly in her chair courtside on Saturday, July 20.

All three of Bryant’s surviving daughters were there and the elder pair showed their gratitude to the ex-Iowa Hawkeye for making Capri’s night, as did Vanessa who smiled warmly at the Team WNBA star.

The family would have been in the hearts of America anyway thanks to Kobe Bryant‘s sensational basketball career that saw him with five NBA championships between 2000-2010 as he went on to become regarded as one of the best to ever do it.

But they are especially looked out for after he died in January 2020 in a helicopter crash which took his life, as well as his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna’s, in Calabasas after trying to fly through poor visibility conditions.

The news shocked the world and devastated the family, which has managed to remain tight and unified and has the backing of sports fans all around the world who were touched by Bryant’s talent and mentality on the court.

Clark’s shooting was not the focus of her talent in her rookie WNBA All-Star appearance as she spent much of the game as the creator for the players around her, going on to record 10 assists as she narrowly missed out on Sue Bird’s record of 12.

Despite not starring in her typical fashion and seeing a record slip away from her, the 22-year-old remained very positive of her first time in the exhibition contest, although she’s now eager for her mid-season break.

“Such a fun first All-Star experience in Phoenix! The fans and city were amazing,” Clark later posted to social media via X.com, formerly Twitter. “Now time for some rest and relaxation. See you all in a month.”
