New Orleans Pelicans’ star Zion Williamson has been struggling significantly with his weight. Williamson has constantly fluctuated between his weights, resulting in significant stress in his body. This has also caused the 24-year-old to become prone to injuries. Reflecting on the issue, DeMarcus Cousins and Michelle Beadle had a serious suggestion.

In a recent episode of the ‘Run It Back’ podcast, Michelle Beadle asked Williamson to use a specific injection. This might help him to keep a check on his type 2 diabetes. “It’s a lot. I mean, Ozempic is out there,” said Beadle. Meanwhile, DeMarcus Cousins also had an interesting take on Williamson’s struggles.

Cousins stated that drafting Williamson to the Pelicans was not a smart move at all. They opined that New Orleans is famously known for its sumptuous food. Thus, knowing fully well that Williamson was struggling to manage weight, trading him to New Orleans only worsened the conditions. Meanwhile, his recent injury has also led to his CAA contract being in jeopardy.

Zion Williamson CAA Contract In Doubts

Prior to entering the NBA, Zion Williamson had a huge breakthrough. Owing to his impeccable NCAA performance, he signed a contract with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Unfortunately, that contract is in serious jeopardy at the moment. After repeated injury woes, his potential to play for the long term has raised significant concerns.

Not only the CAA but the weight issue and the injury setbacks might also lead to more serious consequences. Williamson might have his contract with the Pelicans dismissed. After all, the 24-year-old has only appeared in 6 games this year. Thus, with dark clouds looming large, it remains to be seen how well he can make a comeback in the future.
