Dak Prescott Does Not Mince Words About Mike McCarthy After Embarrassing Blowout Loss To The Detroit LionsDak Prescott (Photo Via Dallas Cowboys)
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys needed this bye week to regroup as a unit.

The team came into the 2024 season with high expectations and sputtered out of the gate.

The Dallas Cowboys were walloped at home Sunday, blown out 47-9 by the Detroit Lions. This was the Cowboys’ fourth straight loss at home, dating back to the last postseason.

Detroit quarterback Jared Goff completed 18 of 25 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns.

Prescott went 17 for 33 for 178 yards and two interceptions. The offense also lost three fumbles and only averaged four yards per play.

Following the game, there were questions about whether the team should make a coaching change.

After the loss, quarterback Dak Prescott shut that down with his passionate speech about his coach.

According to Jon Machota of The Athletic:

Dak Prescott on his belief in Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy:

“The man he is. The preparation that he puts into this. The leader. I’ll go to war for that guy, with that guy, every single day. And I’m not the only one in that locker room.

I feel like everybody feels that. If you heard what he said after that game (last night), not something that I care to let you guys in on honestly, but strong message. Strong message. In a loss, to be able to feel that way and show those emotions and respond, I’ll follow him.

I’ll follow him. I know he said it to you guys, he said it in there, he’s looking in the mirror, as we all should. Thankful for him as my coach. Period.”

After boasting the league’s top-scoring offense during the 2023 season with an average of 29.9 points per game, Dallas is averaging just 21 points per game, which explains their 3-3 record.

Dak Prescott Is Not Playing Up To His New Contract

Prescott and the Cowboys agreed to a four-year, $240 million contract extension ahead of Week 1 of the 2024 season.

He is not living up to it.

Dak Prescott has completed 63.4 percent of his throws for 1,602 yards to begin the season and has thrown eight touchdown passes compared to six interceptions.

He has also fumbled the ball four times in six starts after recording four fumbles during his entire 2023 season.

The Dallas Cowboys certainly have an interesting group of fans. They have strong emotions for their team, but it’s not always positive, and that’s clear when you hear this new diss rack about the team and Dak Prescott.

On Sunday, the Cowboys suffered an embarrassing 9 – 47 loss at home to the Dallas Cowboys.

Fans are now fed up; one even made a hilarious diss track about the team. He sings about Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Jerry Jones.

It offers some of the funniest lines you will ever hear.

Dak, who you throwing to? he threw it to the defense,” “Dak, go to the barber shop, get that hairline fixed, and maybe you’ll stop throwing picks, and maybe CeeDee Lamb will stop being a diva,” and “I’m ashamed to be a friend, got me lyin to my friend,” just to share a few.

It immediately went viral on social media, and everyone loved it.

“Aye bro…go ahead make a mixtape with all these diss tracks lmao. I’d buy it,” said one comment.

“Aye this some heat,” said another.

“IM CRYING REAL TEARS,” added a third.

It seems the Cowboys fan base is ready to give up on the season just six weeks into the year.

Dak Prescott And The Cowboy’s Playoff Chances Are Slipping Away

Going into the season, Dallas was expected to be a playoff lock coming out of the NFC East.

That will be a lot harder than originally thought, though, with the Commanders, Giants, and Eagles all looking just as good as the Cowboys.

Dallas is currently third in the division at 3-3, with the Commanders in the lead at 3-2 and Eagles in second with a 3-2 record.
