The NFL season began last week, and every team received their fair share of media attention in week one. Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is one of the media’s most eye-catching players.

Watson has been under intense scrutiny since he broke out into the league. After becoming one of the biggest stars in the NFL with the Houston Texans, the former Clemson signal-caller was handed tons of sexual assault allegations.

It got so bad at one point that Watson forced himself out of Houston and was traded to the Browns. He is now, hopefully, their future, but it’s not looking good for the struggling AFC franchise.

Even being associated with the controversial Cleveland Browns quarterback is seemingly becoming a problem. Watson celebrated his 29th birthday on Saturday, and his girlfriend, Jilly Anais, was among the many people who joined him.

After posting to Instagram to celebrate the NFL star’s birthday, she was forced by fans who were commenting unfavorably to limit the comments on the post, something that may become common for Watson’s long-time girlfriend.

There is now another lawsuit being launched against the former Texans star as he allegedly assaulted a separate woman, which is related to the lawsuits back he was forced to fight during the 2022 season and 2023 off-season.

Watson is now being considered for the commissioner’s exempt list, allowing him to be paid while sitting out. Some fans find this upsetting, but it doesn’t seem to bother Anais, who has been with the 29-year-old since 2019.

Anais and Watson seem to be continuing their relationship through all the backlash Watson has received, and if anyone has his back, it is no doubt Anais. As for NFL fans, they’ll just have to wait and see how this lawsuit goes down.

Kevin Durant has wrapped up the Paris Olympics in remarkable fashion, becoming the only player in history to win four gold medals in men’s basketball. After returning from injury to lead Team USA, Durant’s performance has fueled high expectations for the Phoenix Suns in the upcoming NBA season.

Amid this success, Durant’s time with the Golden State Warriors has come back into focus, especially through the words of his mother, Wanda Durant. Wanda recently boldly stated that if Team USA’s top scorer had stayed with the Warriors team, they could have dominated the league for years.

We would’ve had 20 rings by now. And it was about 10 years ago. That’s how cold they were,” Wanda said on the latest episode of TV One’s “Raising Fame.

Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 and quickly made an impact, leading the team to two consecutive championships in 2017 and 2018. However, after the 2018 season, Durant left Golden State and signed with the Brooklyn Nets. He departed after a difficult 2019 NBA Finals, where he suffered a ruptured Achilles while playing against the Toronto Raptors.
