Taylor Swift’s German hotel surrounded by police as fans swarm ahead of Hamburg show
Fans were abuzz for Taylor Swift in the German city of Hamburg

Police officers were dispatched to Taylor Swift’s hotel in Hamburg after a large crowd of enthusiastic fans, known as Swifties, gathered at the entrance in anticipation of her highly-anticipated Eras Tour performance.

Local news outlets reported that approximately 300 fans were present. However, Swift, 34, managed to avoid the crowd by entering and exiting the hotel through an underground garage, eluding the eager onlookers.

Swift took the stage at Volksparkstadion stadium on Tuesday evening, with another performance scheduled for Wednesday. Following her Hamburg shows, she is set to perform in Munich over the weekend.

Police presence has been amped up for Swift’s shows
German authorities have been on high alert since the 14-time Grammy winner began her tour in the country last week. Concerns heightened after one of Swift’s stalkers was arrested in Gelsenkirchen for allegedly making threats against her and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce.

The 34-year-old suspect was apprehended at the entry check of the Veltins-Arena just before Swift’s performance. The individual had reportedly made online threats against the couple, prompting event organizers to alert local law enforcement.

Kelce, also 34, has been a prominent presence at Swift’s shows, supporting her at two out of the three nights she performed in Gelsenkirchen. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seen leaving the venue with Swift, his arm affectionately draped around her shoulder.

Kelce has been accompanying Swift on her European tour, attending 14 shows so far. However, his concert appearances may dwindle as he returned to Kansas City for the Chiefs’ training camp on Sunday. The NFL season for the Chiefs kicks off on September 5 with a game against the Baltimore Ravens, while Swift’s record-breaking tour continues until December.
