NCAA Announces Shocking Final Decision On The Sugar Bowl Following Tragic Terror Attack In New Orleans On New Year’s Eve

The 2025 Sugar Bowl was slated to be held today in New Orleans. It would see Notre Dame take on Georgia in a battle for supremacy. However, things have changed due to the tragic events on New Year’s Eve.
During the party on Bourbon Street for New Year’s Eve, a 42-year-old terrorist named Shamsud Din Jabbar drove through barricades, killing 10 people and injuring 35 others before crashing his truck. He then is gunned down by police after opening fire.
Due to this senseless tragedy and terror attack, the Sugar Bowl, which was initially scheduled to be held today at the Superdome in New Orleans, has been rescheduled by officials, and a new date for the event has been confirmed.
Sugar Bowl Reschdule To Tuesday Following New Orleans Terrorist Attack
The NCAA has officially delayed the Sugar Bowl between the Fighting Irish and the Bulldogs to Tuesday, January 7th. The game will still reportedly be held at the Superdome in New Orleans, and there is no word on any other changes yet.
A University of Georgia student was also injured in the attack, and officials are currently watching him. No updates have been given regarding the student as of yet. However, as far as we know, the game will be taking place on Tuesday, hopefully with even more security.
