Football fans are ripping on former wide receiver Antonio Brown over his cruel and insensitive tweet about Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

In the third quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion after his head made hard contact with Damar Hamlin during a routine tackle attempt.

Tagovailoa was quickly ruled out of the game, forcing the Dolphins to finish the contest with backup Skylar Thompson. The Bills went on to win 31-10 in a lopsided affair, but the Dolphins’ main concern is Tua’s health over the result of last night’s game.

Tua Tagovailoa suffered three concussions during the 2022 season and had to miss five games. Naturally, some fans and prognosticators on social media began to wonder if Tua may end up having to retire after another head injury scare.

As such, you can understand why fans were enraged with Antonio Brown’s tweet that coldly joked about Tagovailoa having CTE:

Fans wasted no time destroying the former Pro Bowl wide receiver for his insensitive tweet on Tua Tagovailoa:

Brown last played in the NFL three seasons ago, but as we’ve all learned, he’ll never stop saying out-of-line things on social media if it means attracting more attention to himself.

Tagovailoa’s night ended with 145 passing yards on 17 completions for one touchdown and three interceptions, including a pick-six. Thompson finished 8-of-14 for 40 yards and no touchdown in the blowout loss.

Dolphins Should Find More QB Depth Behind Tua Tagovailoa

With all due respect to Skylar Thompson, he’s not suited to be a long-term starting quarterback if Tua has to miss time. The Dolphins have too much talent in place and can’t afford another lost season because of lackluster quarterback depth behind Tagovailoa.

Old friend Ryan Tannehill is a potential option for Miami in free agency. Or they could look at trading for an experienced veteran like Joe Flacco, Jameis Winston or Andy Dalton. The bottom line is that GM Chris Grier must act if Tagovailoa misses more time.

VIDEO: Former Steelers Superstars Antonio Brown & Le’Veon Bell Have Heartbreaking Discussion About Whether They Have CTE

Former Pittsburgh Steelers stars and teammates Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell discussed if they may have Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) during a recent reunion.

Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell spent five years together in Pittsburgh (2013 to 2017). They formed the dynamic “Killer B’s” trio alongside quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, churning out a top-10 scoring offense every year from 2014 to 2017.

Brown hosted Bell on CTESPN, where the former All-Pro wideout asked his former teammate if he may have CTE. Here’s how the conversation plays out:

BrownDo you think I have CTE?

Bell: (Laughs): I don’t think you got CTE.

BrownDo you think you got CTE?

BellI don’t think I got CTE. We never know ’til we die.

The video is awfully heartbreaking and difficult to watch. Brown notes that they suffered multiple concussions before noting that they were exposed to the violent toll of football as young kids.

Antonio Brown adds that they grew up more angry and aggressive through the game of football. The Super Bowl 55 champion then stresses to Bell that they must be there for their children.

Bell and Brown both had ugly exits from Pittsburgh during the 2019 offseason. Bell sat out the entire 2018 campaign due to a contract dispute and signed with the New York Jets, and Brown essentially quit the team ahead of their Week 17, 2018 must-win contest against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Brown had a heated argument with Roethlisberger in a practice before that Week 17 game and walked out on the team. He requested a trade and was sent to the Oakland Raiders in a 2019 trade, though the AFC West club released Brown before he ever played a game for them because of his destructive behavior.

Bell was never the same after leaving the Steelers. Though Brown would win a Super Bowl ring with Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 season, his final two NFL seasons were overshadowed by off-the-field legal issues. The Bucs released him following a Week 17, 2021 game against the New York Jets when he stripped off his jersey and ran off the field after an argument with coaches.

Antonio Brown & Le’Veon Bell Were On The Path To Greatness In Pittsburgh

The Steelers made the postseason four years in a row with Bell, Brown and Roethlisberger (2014 to 2017). They won three AFC North division titles and reached the AFC Championship Game once in 2016.

Those two were bound for the Hall of Fame with Roethlisberger, but Bell ruined his chances by leaving the Steelers and wasting away his final NFL years. Brown’s disturbing legal problems and behavior will likely prevent him from reaching Canton as well.
