The Griselda rapper shows love and appreciation to the Shady Records boss, who gave the crew an opportunity to shine.

Benny the Butcher was the only one of Griselda who did not have a personal contract with Shady Records, but it has never clouded his judgment. He has built a stellar solo career and a solid following. But he is not above paying respect to people who have contributed to his success.

In his recent tweet, Benny wrote:

What Paul and Em did for Buffalo & hip hop jus by signing Griselda is forever appreciatedÂ đŸ™đŸŸđŸ™đŸŸđŸ™đŸŸđŸ™đŸŸ

Note an important emphasis: Benny doesn’t even talk about himself, he recognises the importance of this move for Buffalo. The city was recently hit by the tragedy of another mass shooting. The Griselda spitter fundraises money to help those affected by the assault. Benny donates proceedings from his merch sales to the victims of the Buffalo Mass Shooting, and recently he released a YouTube exclusive single, “Welcome to the States”. There he raps over the beat from Kendrick Lamar’s “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” hit, “We Cry Together”, also created with the help of another Shady Records artist, Westside Boogie.
